Wedding Venue for Outside in June!!

Hello Knotties!

I need help, my husband and I are renewing our vows with a large outdoor ceremony and reception.  I'm a little worried about having it outside because its scheduled for June 3 2012 and its going to be really hot.!!!

I want to have it at The Westin La Cantera but I'm afraid it will be too hot.  We are thinking around 4 for ceremony and then the reception inside right after.

Any thoughts?

I have lived in San Antonio my whole life....and if I were you I would worry about the heat and humidity as well. Especially in the summer. I would consider other possible ideas as well. I know when I was looking for my venue, also a June wedding when they mentioned outside n once I said June everyone said ohhhhhh no, we don't recommend that. So have a second thought....but as my fiance says, the bride gets what the bride wants.

Grandberry Hills has a nice covered patio area that you could use. Spring HIll has a gazebo and lots of trees. It's on a hill so you get a great breeze. Plus it's indoor/outdoor which might work well for your guests.

It's super hot yes but the evenings are nice-at least I think.  Maybe think about an evening wedding/reception.

Hello!  Congratulations on your vow renual ceremony.  I've performed a lot of outside ceremonies in many beautiful locations.  I would recommend considering either something early in the day, like a Sunday morning or later in the evening.  The Botanical Gardens have an area where there is a lot of plants/trees etc. and is a beautiful location for an evening ceremony or just a ceremony in the hotter months.  There are also some B&B's in the King William District where I've performed weddings where there was an arch etc. so the heat wasn't too bad.

    Best Wishes!

I second the Botanical Gardens ... we're getting married there in July.  They have alternate areas if it rains, for one.  And the scenery is ridulously beautiful, which can possibley help you save on decorations.

If you really want to do it and are worried about the heat. You can always provide ice cold bottled waters to your guests.
