I'm officially taking off Friday (Sat wedding) but I plan on "working from home on Thursday" at my parents' house because 1) I am using up all of my vacation on the HM and 2) FI and I have our final meeting with our venue on Thursday!

I am taking off Thursday and the wedding is on Friday. I would love to take off Wednesday too but I'd rather use up my vacation days for the HM. When it gets closer maybe I'll decide to leave work an hour or two earlier if somehting comes up on Wednesday but if I don't need too I probably won't.

I traded my off day from Monday to Wednesday, so I will be off starting the Wednesday before the wedding through the Sunday after the wedding. ISo it will be 3/7-3/11.

I am taking off Thursday and Friday before the wedding (Saturday), the whole next week, and then the following Monday. We'll get back from our HM Sunday evening and I want a day to get settled, go grocery shopping, do laundry before going back to work.

March is a pretty quiet time of year for me at work, and I have 22 vacay days this year, so I can afford the time off and make everything less stressful

Taking Thurs & Friday off for our 3/24/12 wedding. That Thursday is the 4 yr anniversary of our 1st date so we are trying to relive it that morn with breakfast and a lil moment to ourselves before guests get in town and tear us away from each other til saturday...lol!

I took Wednesday-Wednesday off for the wedding. I want to be able to spend as much time with people who made the trip, and get everything cleaned up and organized again after the wedding.

We plan on taking two weeks in September for our honeymoon.

(yes I have a lot of vaca, like 7 weeks a year)

Holy crap, aenordan, that is a LOT of vacation time. How do you get all of that? I thought I got a lot (4 and a half weeks).

I'm going to 'work from home' the Wednesday and Thursday before the wedding, and take Friday off. I'll definitely take Monday - Wednesday off after the wedding but am not sure if I'll take the whole week or not. I just asked FI about his plans this morning and he hasn't even thought about it...

Lucky. Straight up luck. The first year you are there, you pretty much get crap, like less than a week. from 1-5 years you get 4 weeks. Once you hit 5 years, you get 7 weeks. Then after 10 its like 8-9 weeks.
You can also earn vacation by working holidays and doing certian events. They are also rewarded to you for completing different things or winning awards. Its one of the best perks. My problem is taking all that time off. Its hard to use that much time!

As of right now I don't have anything at work after February 4th. So... almost a month. Well, unless you count the convention I'm attending for work the week before the wedding, in which case then it's technically only 4 days. But I don't really consider a convention in Las Vegas to be work. And in general, I don't consider my job to be work.

Then after the wedding I cleared my books until March 10th.

I took off 1/2 day Wednesday since we are flying out to Vegas that night and then all day Thursday and Friday.

And that's all I had to take off for the wedding and honeymoon combined since the next week is Spring Break! Yay for being a teacher!!!

My wedding is on a Friday and I'm taking Wednesday and Thursday off. I'm also taking the Friday before off for my Vegas Bachelorette party. Then, I'll go back to work for a week before we go on our week long honeymoon. I'm taking a total of 4 days off since I'll be on spring break for the week of the HM.
