I posed about a week ago about the horrible experience I had having my dress altered.
The lady told me I had gained weight, asked if she should take it out more than she pinned incase I couldn't maintain my weight, told me I had to pick the dress up the DAY before our wedding (we live almost 2 hours away), etc. It was terrible.
So Mom called and they changed the appointment to yesterday evening (why they couldn't do that when I was there, I don't know). Slipped the dress on and it was a little too big! The lady came in and said she could take it in a little at the top so it would fit better. We just didn't want to leave again. So I told her that we live almost 2 hours away and my wedding is in a week. She said, "oh hunny, I can do it right now in about 5 minutes." She did and it FINALLY fits great!! My dress is home, safe and sound, and I'm officially ready to get married!!!
Mom and I also finished up a couple more things. Purchased bags for the candy bar, cardstock so we can print invitations, candle holders for centerpieces, got my ering cleaned, and finished up the gifts!
Also, earlier yesterday, my FMIL called me and said she was going to stop by the baker and pay for our cake today. Totally unexpected and totally appreciated!!
