I'm A Minister Planning A Wedding For My Bride...Can a man do that????

We have both been married before I had the Big 700 people church wedding and my bride had a courthouse wedding. As a give to her I wanted to plan a wedding for her (not the dresses and things like that) but her friends say that A man can't plan a wedding (good thing I dont hurt easy) I always keep her in the loop with things because its all about her. What do you think? Can a man plan a wedding??

Not too long ago we did have a guy who posted on here (along with his now wife) who was very active in his wedding planning, so I don't see any reason why a guy shouldn't be able to plan a wedding.

That being said, I don't think it's smart for either person in the relationship to be the only person planning a wedding - a wedding is a very personal thing and since it represents the start of a marriage, it should be a collabortion that involves both people involved.

I think you can be the primary planner.  Just make sure you're consulting her about decisions as well.

Why does it matter that you are a minister planning the wedding?  Just curious why you included that.

If you've already had the big wedding and she hasn't, I would let her take the lead in making decisions.  But that doesn't mean that you can't find options and present them to her.
