  Depends on if they're getting something from  salon that will have to get altered or just off the rack at a department store.  My mom did the former and it took like 3 months.  MIL did the latter and got her dress like two weeks before the wedding.

  3 to 4 months but honestly a MOB or MOG dress can be bought off the rack at anytime really.

  My mom and MIL got their dresses at Sterlings in New Hope and they told them that 4 months was standard but they rarely need that much time.  My mom's dress was pretty intricate and was special ordered in her size and came in within 8 weeks.
