Bridal shop in NYC

Hello I am a out of town bride and will be visiting my sister in NJ next week...we will be going to Kleinfeld to find my perfect wedding gown :) Any of you have been there? Also, can you please recommend other bridal shops in this area too?

Re: Bridal shop in NYC

  • I never went to kleinfelds but I've seen a lot of mixed reviews. You may want to check out Amsale, Bridal Reflections, RK Bridal ( though it may be crazy in the weekend), The White Gown in Brooklyn is also great. I would also look into Bloomingdales and lord and Taylor. Good luck
  • I just bought my dress from Kleinfelds in December. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. When I went there, I went with my mom, aunt, and grandmother. They gave us our own room so we had privacy. I gave the woman the style numbers of the dresses I was interested in and described to her the type of dress I wanted. She brought me the dresses I asked for and a dress that she felt would fit me the best. I tried on her pick and I fell in love with it. After I tried on all the other dresses, I went with the one she picked for me.

I got so excited when getting the dress that I forgot to take pictures. I called them and asked and they allowed me to go back and take pictures of the dress. I forgot the woman name that I had but I think she was an Italian woman and she had an accent.
  • I would recommend Cymbeline ( I bought my dress here.) and Gabriella (she's the sweetest). The Bridal Garden has deals but it can be a hassle. Happy Planning!
  • I second RK Bridal and Bridal Reflections. My sister used one and I used the other. Best of luck!
  • I also purchased my bridal gown from Klienfelds! I had a great experience!! Alison was my sales associate and she was awesome! I also went to Amsale (very nice shop and my mother, BM and I were given champaign to sip on while we shopped) and Pronovias (eeeekk, the sales associate was ok, but I was very disappointed because once she learned that my budget was not $4,000+ she basically said she didn't want to waste my time- mind you my BM made the appointment and she told all of the shops my budget!) Anyway, good luck with your search and have fun!!!

  • I found my dream dress at Wedding Atelier in NYC. Jessica was amazing to work with and the owner was really nice. They also helped me find a great veil to go with it. My Mom found her MOB dress there too! Highly recommend them although I can't say anything about their alterations department as I haven't had my first fitting yet. Ask for an appointment with Jessica if you end up going. Good luck and have fun!
