wedding dress at reception??

We plan on having dancing and drinking at the reception and i wasnt sure if i should stay in my dress or change... and if change, what kind of dress should i chose.

i'm staying in my dress i figure if you pay that much for something you only wear once why not wear it all you can? and I adore my dress, couldn't change out of it.

I am staying in my dress for the reception. But, we are having an after party and I am changing into a different dress for that. I want all the traditions and everything at the reception...all those classic pictures to be in my dress...and I want to enjoy it more than just my ceremony. But, we are planning to go out and celebrate at a piano bar that night and I am changing into a cocktail dress for that.

I'm planning on wearing my dress to the reception, get my use out of it. And that way any guests or family members could get pictures with me if they want to. But I have been to receptions where people wear other dresses, some get dresses in a similar simple style but shorter to make it easier to dance in. Some places even make reception dresses to match the wedding dress. Other people I have seen just buy a simple white dress to wear, but really I think it is up to you.

I stayed in my dress and had no problem dancing in it. In fact, it was a lot of fun to dance in

. As long as you don't have a giant hoop skirt or something, you'll probably be fine, but you should wear what you feel comfortable in.

We actually do change for the reception since we have some traditional stuff.. I'm staying in my dress for the first dance, father/ daughter dance and cake cutting, but changing in between do all the traditional stuff. You may want to see what you want pics in and then change before the dancing and everything starts.

I paid 1000 bucks for my gown and for a dress i'm only going to wear once -'m gonna wear it all day! Plus, I love my gown I wouldn't want to change!
