I'm New!! and questions about a reception site

Hi ladies! I'm new and finally engaged!! My fiance and I have been loking for places to have our ceremony and reception. We went to Avila country club and I love it! However I have a question about the dance floor and tables. The tables seemed secluded off from the dance floor almost like they are in a separate room?. Has anyone gone to a wedding there or gotten married there? Has anyone else noticed this there?

Hey! My fiance and I really wanted to check that place out! What was the cost like? I thought from the pictures that teh dance floor seems a little off to the side, but still accessible to the dancing! Let me know and best of luck! :)

My venue has a separate area with a dance floor, it's a completely different room in fact.

I've also been to multiple weddings that had the dancing and dinner is separate rooms.

The cost wasnt too bad. It depends on your budget. The woman in sales told me for a Sat. night wedding the cost is 3k but you gett the whole place to yourself and you would be the only event on that day. You would have to use their catering. We havent completly ruled out the place yet. My FI brought up the fact the dance floor wasnt near the tables. Some people sitting at their table would not be able to see peole dancing.  It didnt bother me at first, but now I am just wondeing if not having your dance floor in the center for everyone to see if that would bother some guests?

Yes their tables are away from the dance floor but that place is soooo pretty.  That dance floor with balcony area makes for some beautiful photos.

I love the pics on their website. I was wondering though, do you have to be a member or have a sponsor who is a member?

I dont know thats a good question. When I met with the event coordinator she didnt mention anything about being a member. My FI and i need to make a decision but that is df something I will ask when I go back.

A friend of mine was married there..the dance floor was seperated but that didn't stop us from dancing. However she didn't have a lot of dancers except for myself and some friends...BUT I think that had to do with her DJ not the positioning of her dance floor.

You don't have to be a member to have your wedding/reception at Avila, but it's my understanding that the gate guard has to have the guests' names on a list to let them in.  If someone doesn't RSVP and tries to attend, I don't know what happens.  That might be a question you'd want to ask.

Avila's not in a real central location.  I like Rusty Pelican.  Easy access from all directions.
