We booked our honeymoon last night! Super excited. We are going on a 7 day cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. I got a really good deal booking it though my discover card! Yeah reward points!

Really Bridgett??

I went on one last May and (don't want to piss on your Cheerios, OP), but I was seriously thinking that I could nto imagine how people take cruises for their honeymoon. We had an awesome time.... but not so much a romantic getaway.

Dunno... maybe just our experience w/ Carnival. Way fun.... just not romantic.

Ours woulda been romantic but I was with my ex and he was a blow hole. His 21st bday was the day we left and I bought a really expensive bottle of wine and he refused to drink it b/c "This whole gotta get drunk on your 21st bday thing is BS" I drank the bottle myself. I had a riot! Haha.

But it def depends on which cruise youre on and where you go.

Yeah, I can see how w/ who and where makes a big difference. We may do another cruise next February w/ a bunch of friends which I think would be an awesome time!!!

Ooo. That would be fun! Joshs cousin is getting married this summer (kinda shotgun-ish but theyve been together like 5 yrs and have a kid, buying a house, both 2nd marriage) so they decided for the HM to do a cruise...with a handful of close friends. I though that was pretty cool and would totally go but were spending big $$ for our HM like 2 months before. Oh well.

My Fi and I have never been on a cruise. Im a little/lot nervous about it. But my FI insisted that a cruise would be special because its something neither of us have done so it will be our first together. We also decided we didnt like the idea of being stuck in one place (like a resort)..so the idea of a number of ports appealed to us. We did go with carnival. Which we were trying not to because they are considered the "fun boats" but the prices were too low to pass up. But we booked an extended balcony at aft face (back of the boat) because ive read that there isnt alot of traffic and they tend to be more private. Now im nervous! Thanks Monica!

Sorry.

I didn't mean to rain on your parade. I was just thinking about when we went... we thought it was going to be this super amazingly romantic (candlelit dinner, massages blah blah) sort of thing... and instead it was pretty jam packed and nothing was private except our room. lol. But that is Carnival... and it really was fun... just not secluded and romantic.

We did have an awesome time, but just in a different crazy/fun sort of way.

Your room sounds waaay cool. I didn't even know they had such things. I bet that will be really neat.
