  sorry i don't know the answer to your question but my jeweler told me that all you need is windex and a toothbrush. maybe you can use that in the interim?

  beckilee - my jeweler said that's what he uses on all of his pieces (he has a great vintage shop in clintonville - village jewel). my ring is white gold and has reacted very well to windex and a toothbrush. hope that helps

  MissOwl - thanks so much! I will definitely use that tip. I already have windex and an old toothbrush and don't have special ring cleaner, so thats def a moneysaver!
