Engagement Pic Assistance

I'm almost ready, I guess I have to be. Our Engagement picture shoot is this coming Saturday.  We have our outfits and are ready to go, however I stated thinking about it this morning and wondered about props.  Did anyone here bring any props to their engagement photo shoot.

We are getting them done at City Park and Union Station downtown.  Any cool ideas?

Also, how did you over come your fears about being in front of a camera and trying to act natural, I don't get it....I feel like when the camera is about to shoot, I flash the Zoolander pose....lol

We didn't have any props.  Of course, we were in Vegas, so we didn't need any ;)  But I still don't think they're necessary.

You'll probably feel weird at first, but if you have a good photographer, he/she should make you feel comfortable.  It's a little awkward, but just try and have fun with it.  Good luck, and I hope you have great weather!

We didn't have any "props" but we did bring our dog along with us for a few shots.

I've seen some cool photos with a bunch of balloons (couple was in the park) and the photos were really fun/playful.
no identifiable siggy pictures anymore, thanks a lot stupid nest!

We didn't do props either.  We just didn't think about it and I don't think it is necessary.

As far as getting nervous, it goes away after the first couple of shots.  Our photographer was awesome and really made us feel at ease and I am sure that yours will do the same.

Union Station is a great place to take pics!  We did some there as well.  Just relax and have fun.

Get a glass of wine with your photographer before hand! That was so fun for us our photographers met us at one of our favorite pubs and we chatted and had a driunk and apps. We were so relaxed cause it was like hanging out with friends and our phots came out beautiful.
    Hope that helps!

I agree if the photographer is any good they will help you feel relaxed and comfortable so you don't get the zoolander pose :p It helps to if you start to feel too nervous, let your photog know. They should be able to help you through it. Just try and remember that you are marrying the man in the photos with you and (for me anyway) that made a huge difference in the pictures. I was so caught up in my husband that I forgot the photog was even there. HTH!

Ours are today. My groom is nervous in photos in general, and especially with these. We are meeting up with the photog for a drink first. Wish us luck!
