  You could do pinwheels, or combine a pinwheel with any of the things mentioned above (cotton sounds awesome!) to add color?

  OP, is there a reason you don't want flowers besides cost? This is what I'm planning on doing, but they are technically flowers so idk if that helps...

  Cotton sounds cool... I'm not sure if my BM's are going to hold anyting. I have no clue what I'm doing and its almost 6 months away. I'm about to say screw it wear what you want hold what you want I don't care I just want to be in my mans arms all night long! I know that doesn't help at all!

  Oooh what about those little sicks with a bandana pouch on the end that you see in movies when someone is running away? (i hope someone knows what i'm talking about)

  I'm making baby's breath bouquets which will be very inexpensive. I also like the pinwheel, cotton bolls, and one sunflower idea. Parasols might be cute too.

  It may not be an issue, but I would just make sure none of your guest would be offended by cotton.  In its raw, just picked form, it simply doesnt ring as warm and romantic to certain people.
