Engagement Announcement in the paper?

Did alot of you do this? When I looked, it was over $100. Is it even worth doing anymore?

    I didn't do it. Mostly because I feel like no one really reads it anymore. I will do a wedding announcement MAYBE but not for engagement.

    I know what you mean, my Mom reads the paper for funerals and the TV guide, and that is about it. I do not get the paper, and to be honest, I read 225 more than I read the paper.

    It was $50 for our announcement in the Advocate and one online at theadvocate.com. I did it because we're older and our parents and families still read the paper.

    Yeah, my folks also read the paper for the announcements. People I knew have died, and the only way I knew about it was from my mom. The paper is still read.
