Show me the $$$$

We all know that the bulk of costs will come from our venues, so let's take a minute to appreciate the place that our hard earned bucks will be going to! LOL

Here is where my ceremony, cocktail hour on the roof and reception will take place (Thank God it's all in one place, lol) : http://delavanteventcenter.com

Both of those look amazing!!!! Mine, too, is where the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception is being held. I'm really happy with the decision I made because it is peaceful and beautiful, and there's a LAKE!!! Our wedding is scheduled in the early evening (4ish...with a GAZEBO!! I love those hahaha), so when we get our wedding pictures taken by the lake, the sun will be setting just right!!!  it's a golf club, but they have been doing weddings for a little over two years now, and I fell in love with the place...

It'll be a small wedding, but I know it'll be picture perfect!! I can't wait to see everyone else's wedding places, ideas, and of course THEIR wedding... GO 2013 Brides!!!

Holy cow! All of these venues look amazing. We haven't picked ours yet. Ceremony will be at our parents' Catholic church and hopefully reception nearby! :)

I originally was looking for a church for us to be married at...but the one that had great reviews close to where I live...looked deserted and kinda scared me...then I saw Falcons Fire :) lol

Yeah, we decided to do the Catholic ceremony because we were both raised Catholic, and though we had fallen out of practice, with everything that has happened in our lives recently I think it is time we get back into the faith.

We had actually already broken the news to our families that we weren't going to do it in a Catholic church... I wish that we had told his mom, because I know she would have been thrilled (even though I really was surprised at how well ALL of my conservative Catholic family took it! Kind of a "WHAT?! . . .. Oh, well, if that is what you want, you have to have the ceremony you want." thing).

But it kind of takes the pressure off finding a reception site that has a good ceremony location too. Also, the whole "getting back to our roots" thing. And my grandparents (if they're able to make it) are much happier now. haha.

We are doing a Catholic Church for our ceremony too. We do however go to Church every week. You need to call soon, and become a member of a parish it is not that easy to be married in one. Call and find out what you need to do in your area. Also see what times they do weddings so you can plan around that. And make sure you have all your cerficates, baptism, communion, and confermation. You can call your church to get them, they will mail it to you.

I looiked at golf courses here in NJ, they were either insanly expendsive bc they are private or they arent very good. I love the look of golf courses and FL in nov is great! I cant wait to see pics!

I like the golf course I had booked. Lani was the lady we talked to...super sweet and understanding with us having a small wedding. The price we paid for includes chairs, tables, chairs, tablecloths, dishware and silverware, buffet, cake cutting utensls (we have our own though), gift box, photo frame for table numbers, and something else but I forget lol...

Thats good it includes all of that. I had no idea till TK that venues didnt include the food and chairs and silverware and plates. I really thought it was all included everywhere. I had no idea that most people had to book it all seperate. Does make things a lot easier when it is all included, and I feel it actually brings down the price rather then having to book it all seperate. I wish I was having a small wedding, we have big families so wont happen for us.

We are doing a catholic ceremony at the church I grew up in. Our reception will take place at The Palace at Somerset Park. I am in love with my venue. I took my best friend last week and love it even more when I went back. We have 6 hrs total. One hr cocktail and 5 hr reception all open bar. We also get the bridal suite 2 hrs before with a bar and food for the bridal party. FI also got all the up lighting through them and other fun things. http://www.palacesomersetpark.com/Home.aspx?PageID=9 This is a picture of the outside. http://www.google.com/search?q=palace+at+somerset+park&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=HF_7T4KACObc0QHyqYnhBg&biw=768&bih=928&sei=HV_7T5ajJee80QG63ZHHBg#biv=i|0;d|_GOiiasMEJnkfM:

Great venues. We're still deciding, but are leaning towards this golf course
    http://www.troonnorthgolf.com/Weddings-Receptions_e906c7732f40.html
and this very different urban venue
    http://www.inspirador.com/
We want somewhere to have both ceremony and reception that is largely all-inclusive.
I have two appointments tomorrow, one at another urbanc venue and one at another goldf course.

Love the palace it is a great place! You will be so happy there. We didnt do it there bc it was too far from were we live and all the oot guests like to stay at a hotel by us, no changing that! So we tried to stay closer to our house, and I found The Mill and fell in love with it!

We're doing our ceremony and reception at the same place.  Here's their virtual tour: http://www.circlepix.com/tour/Nitro/loadingPage.htm?tourId=761964&version=strict. We'll be getting married in front of the fire place.  It's so pretty!

Edit: Click on "2nd Ballroom" to see the room we are getting married in.  The reception will be in both ballrooms.
