AND veil actually!! I was absolutely obsessed with that veil :) SO happy to have this checked off my list, I waited quite awhile and the experience really was amazing. I ended up being 3x over my budget which is insanity for me because I've been ALL about being under budget for everything else so far but I tried on probably about 35 dresses that day and was having problems because I liked TOO many dresses but nothing felt "right" to me. Than I tried this one on and when I saw myself with the mock additions (I'll be adding a bolero similar to the one I'm wearing with a keyhole back or adding lace straps that form a keyhole in the back) and the veil I was crying, my sister was crying, it was just amazing. I called FI and he was just like "if it's that much more we'll make it work but I want you to have what you love."

    LOVE it!! I love that veil too! I'm still a little bummed I'm not going to have one but oh well! I'll live vicariously though other people's pictures :)

    holy moly! three times as much?! I just can't fathom spending that much on a dress! It is very pretty though, congrats!

    I don't think 3x is that much depending on what the budget was to begin with. If my budget is $600, three times would only be $1800. Either way, the dress is beautiful on you.

    tropicalpalmleaf --I tried on the Bernedette dress too earlier in the day! I loved it, it was very beautiful...I was a little disappointed in the salon I was at that carried that one though :/

    And honestly I thought it was crazy to spend as much as I did on a dress...before I tried on my dress. My original budget was ~$800, so no it didn't end up being outrageous, I've definitely heard of a lot of people spending A LOT more but I never planned on spending over $1000 untill I saw and felt this one on me. It's made of 100% silk which felt amazing on, and I really wanted something lace and this lace pattern was so unique that it just fit my venue and personality perfectly. The dress really moved me in a way I never thought I could be since I'm not a very sensitive person and the salon I got it at was so amazing and are going to do some custom alterations for me to make it truely unique that I know I won't regret this splurge at all. I am ALL about the budget that it was quite out of character for me to go over this much, but I guess all that haggling and being under budget on some things will pay for the difference! :)

    its beautiful. i tried on one like it because it looked stunningggg on the hanger but did not suit me at all, lol. you look amazing in it though!
