What do you consider a fast typing speed?

I know I'm biased, but what do you consider "fast."  Accuracy not considered.

    accuracy's not considered at all? I mean anyone can randomly smack the keyboard at a rate of 70wpm.

    Sure, I consider accuracy, but just based on what you would see on a resume.

    I think my speed is somewhere around 60wpm, so I voted for 70.

    I haven't been tested in years, but I regularly clock in the 80s and 90s.

    For ages, I had to get over people thinking, "she's the one who types."  <sigh />

    Really, though. I have been known to freak people out with it.  I'm sure some of you could beat me, but it is awesome to be able to type and type fast and well, and I have lots of pity for those who can't/won't/don't.

    I'm right there with you DG.  All those years of dictation really helped.  

    However, when someone lists a fast/quick speed of 40 WPM, I generally toss their resume in the garbage.

    My normal typing is around 90 wpm with 95%+ accuracy. If I'm really concentrating, I'm in the 115 range. I would consider 80 to be "fast."

    I can 10-key very well, but my regular typing is full of errors and not all that fast.

    90? Holy sht. 

    I'm around 60-70, depending on what I'm typing. If I'm writing and on a roll, it's probably faster, but I don't know how you'd test that. I think that's pretty quick.

    I've never taken a typing test.  The Typershark game regularly puts me in the 80 wpm range.

    I type 95 words a minute. that's the score after errors (I'm very accurate) are deducted.

    I always put down 45-50 WPM because I grew up in the 'subtract 5 WPM for every mistake' accuracy camp...
    but I don't consider that 'fast' just adequate.
