AW: E-Pics Blogged!

Well, I know it isn't Thursday, but I just couldn't hold out that long! Our photographer blogged some of our e-pics over the weekend so I just have to share. :)

  • They're so great! I especially LOOOOOOVE the hockey ones!
  • Oh, they are precious!  You two are so cute!

  • Love them!

Just out of curiosity - what's the story behind the old-style cameras?
  • Agreed- absolutely adorable! The hockey ones are my favorite too! So unique.
  • Question: Where did you find the cameras. FI works in film so I'm looking for some for Boudoir pics.
  • Love your pics! Like everyone else the hockey ones are my fav.

    Thanks everyone!

Shishigami - Well, we are both into photography (he is more than I am) and we actually both collect vintage cameras. When we first started collecting, we went nuts...so we have a TON, with lots of them in working order, too. Our photog wanted us to bring a few props so we thought they would be a cool touch.

Carrie - Most of the ones that we own were found on Ebay. Sometimes we find some at antique stores, but usually they're overpriced there. Were you looking for a particular style, or just anything old?

  • I know NOTHING about photography, except that I want to add something to do with film or photography to my boudoir pics.
I am going to get a clapper for sure, and I can't really decide for sure on everything else...

Ooh, how cool! Well, I'd be happy to send you some pics of some of ours for inspiration if you'd like. In fact, you could borrow some of mine if you want...probably some of FI's too (I would just have to talk him into it)!

  • Carrie- also have some vintage cameras you could borrow! FI's office is all film stuff (a film reel, vintage movie posters and cameras). Let me know :)
  • Yes Erica and/or Amanda... would love to borrow! Since I am lacking in creativity I may also need just some plain old suggestions. I love being all scandilous, but I'm not in love with the idea of just laying on a bed for my pics. I want to USE props.
    Any ideas?

(Erica sorry for hijacking your AMAZING AW!)
  • Love your pictures, so cute and creative!

</div><div>Haha, no worries! Sometimes I feel like I am the queen of hijacking, so hijack away! </div><div>
</div><div>Maybe you could do kind of like we did and pretend to actually use the cameras/other props during your session? I love the idea of laying down on a bed/blanket and having tons of cameras just sprawled out around you, with one in your hands. I think making vintage cameras look sexy would be pretty easy, too. :) Here are some examples that I found:</div><div>

</div><div>I think that last one has lots of good options!</div><div>

  • Thanks for posting! I love how these turned out.

Stephanie is doing all of our pictures as well and our engagement session is in a couple of weeks. Did it take her long to get these back to you? Our wedding is Oct. and we'd love to send out save the dates with our e-pics on them, but I just don't know if we'll have enough time to include them.

    Congrats on getting these done!
