Although I have the ability to tan... I'm not much of an outdoorsy girl and kind of look like Casper the ghost right now.  I want to get a little bit of color for the wedding, but refuse to spend money going to the tanning salon regularly enough to get an actual tan!

I bought a groupon last week for 2 spray tans at a local tanning salon for $19.  I'm going to try it out after work tonight!

WISH ME LUCK!  I HOPE I DON'T TURN ORANGE!  LOL

    I love the Mystic spray tanning machines. I went before my bahelorette party this past weekend and did their darkest color and was so happy with it. I had always used the medium color. Not orange at all on me. I use them regularly before I go on vacation or a big event.

    I use Mystic tan too.  I like it a lot.  I've had some small things go wrong (like a streak on the side of my hand) but overall, it's great.  It works best if you exfoliate  the day before and moisturize the days after you spray.

    GL! Make sure to bring a change of clothes you don't mind getting dirty afterwards incase the bronzer wears off.

    My sister bought me a month worth of tanning for my bridal shower, and I've been using it, but not enough, and some friends just got me a spray tan session, so I might try that. I need to probably go tonight or tomorrow to do the spray tan so I can see how it looks.

    Good luck with your session. Hopefully it comes out good and not orange. :)

    Make sure you do it a few days before the wedding so that it doesn't rub off/sweat off on your dress!

    Yup! Loose, dark clothing is crucial or you'll have streaks. The only time I've had spray tanning done, I had a strap mark on one of my shoulders from holding my purse!

    Well, I'm back home and waiting to turn tan.  I did the Mystic light color- there's no bronzer in it, so I'm supposed to wait 4-6 hours and then shower when I feel I am an appropriate color!

    Hopefully I did everything right and will have minimal streakage!  lol

    I use St. Tropez tanning foam at home. It works great and gives a more natural look than Mystic without being streaky or orange.

    Let us know how it turns out! My MOH wants to get spray tanned together but I'm scared to go so close to the wedding.

    I am really reeeally white so I'm afraid of spray tan. But one of my BMs just used This stuff called Fake Bake - Flawless and she said it amazing! So I'm gonna try it out she said its more a natural browny color not an orange to I'm pretty excited. I just tried tea tanning... Found it on pinterest...first time that sites let me down lol it didn't work and it made my shower a freaking mess. Hope your spray tan works out! :D

    l_everett - I'm SUPER ghostly white too and I sprayed tanned and it wasn't at all orange or fake looking. You just have to do the "light" version. The type I did was called Brazil Bronze (it's a NYC chain, I think). This woman took an airbrush thing and just sprayed all over. It took a while but it looked fine. Because I was in the ocean and pool when I did it, it only lasted 4 days.

    I am a typical fair skinned, blue eyed, light hair MN girl so I DON"T tan no matter what I do! But I'm afraid of the tanning beds & I can't see spending money on a spray tan. If I showed up anywhere, let alone my wedding, in anything other than pasty white my family would give me the oddest looks.

    But, I do use the Jergens lotion on occasion and it's worked great! There's a new one called Shimmer that I've heard is also fabulous.
