Need Help!

Hey girls, my name is Margaret and I am in serious need of wedding help. My boyfriend and I have been dating for the past 4 years, since our senior year of high school. We're now both 23 and life has sort of crept up on us rather fast. My fiance's mother has been battling cancer for the past 3 years and now it's at the point were things are coming to an end. It is very important to the both of us that she is there to see us get married. We just got engaged a week ago and we're planning a wedding in Febuary. My family has takin a huge hit with the recession so I don't wont to ask them to pay for the wedding. His parents have offered to pay for some of the wedding but I feel bad letting them do that. Pretty much I'm going to be paying for this wedding by myself and I'm a nanny lol. I just wanted to know if anyone knew of any good cheap photographers, florists, dj's, ect. Thank you sooo much for your time and help! :)

    Do you have a budget in mind yet? Just asking because people have very different opinions of what cheap and inexpensive are! =]

    I'm sorry that you're going through so much.

    Your first step would be to set your budget.  If it is most important to have your FMIL see you get married, could you plan a small, family-only ceremony?  The biggest expenses from weddings come from the reception -- food, drinks, music, lighting, flowers -- it all adds up.

    If you decide that you do have a substantial enough budget to throw a big reception, check out the vendor sticky at the top of the page.  It has a website with a list of many of the vendors used by girls on this board.
