Wailea/Kihei Venues

Hi All!

I am getting married in March in the Wailea/Kihei area and have thought about the venus below. Any input would be so appreciated! We will have approx. 40-50 guests. We would like the ceremony on the beach and the a platted dinner after.

*Gannon's (Lower Lawn)
*Four Seasons (either Duo's or the fountain room)
*Sugarman's Estate
*Olowalu Estate (though it will be a treck to get to)

Pictures, experiences, anything would help!

Thank you!

We always stay in Kihei and got married at Olowalu, it's only a 20 minute drive from S. Kihei.  Definitely worth the drive, it's gorgeous, there is room for parking (not so at Sugarman's), and it's private - perfect!

Same as akwinter bride, we usually stay in south Maui in the wailea area and after scouting multiple venues in along west Maui ( including south) we fell in love with Olowalu. Originally I was only considering south venues like Gannons and Sugarman's but absolutely fell for Olowalu, although Sugarman's was beautiful. If you look in my past posts you can find one where I posted many of my scouting pictures of Sugarman's, Kukahiko, and Olowalu. Take a look!

    Hi,

I'm getting marries at Olowalu Plantation for 50-60 people in 08/12/12. I love this estate. It's so prestine. My problem is looking for a event cordinator. Have you found one yet?

<div>I usually stay in the Ka'anapali side, but Olowalu is a nice distance from either Lahaina or Wailea/Kihei side. So, I recommend Olowalu for sure! Maybe I'm bias because I'm getting married there, but I have also heard that there is very limited parking at Sugarman's.</div><div>
</div><div>Also keep in mind that if you have it on an estate, you'd have to bring EVERYTHING in as opposed to having it at a restaurant or a hotel.</div><div>
    </div><div>Good luck and happy planning!</div>

I just found Makena Beach & Golf Resort online... Has anyone looked into this venue or had their wedding here?
