No full frontal pictures? Girl, so set your camera on the kitchen table with the timer on and take a full pic for us.
It's hard to see it and the whole feel. The detail is very pretty. I didn't realize you went with lace/appliques

If it doesn't fit and you have a month to go, you might want to find a good seamstress more than the gym.  Yes, the gym can help but it won't make you feel beautiful in the dress - it might make it easier to squeeze in.  A good seamstress can make it very flattering!

I agree, I'd like to see full pictures.  As much as we've had our issues, I do wish you the best and want you to have a beautiful wedding and to be happy.

THERE we go. Much better picture of it.  Oh yeah I forgot that it's not home with you yet. My bad.
    The lace is nice.
It's very unexpected... I just didn't picture you in a lace gown, I figured you would go with pick-ups and a diamond white gown considering your age. I think it'll be a nice surprise for people to see this on you. (I hope that doesn't come off rude... I don't mean that to be rude at all. I realize it may sound a little but I really am not saying that in a negative way)

yeah, I'm not a fan of pick ups myself. I really wasn't trying to insult in any way, It just seems to be a popular trend for the teen-young 20s lately. Not my thing, personally, but I suppose that's why I made that sort of connection. (Of course I've never been a fan of "current trend" stuff.)
Lace is timeless. I can't pull it off... It does not look good on my hour glass shape sadly, but that's okay. It looks beautiful in pictures.

Hahaha.... a down comforter that got in a fight with a sewing machine and lost... excellent visual!

I'm not a fan of pick ups at all.  It was on my "do not want to try on" list.  Along with satin - I'm just really anti-satin, it's a textual thing, I hate the feel of it on my skin.

Very pretty, and you'll have plenty of time to make sure it's fitted right then.  Where's the wedding dress?

Calindi- It's still on the store. She's finishing up paying for it. She'll get it soon.

I agree. I didn't try a single gown on that had pick ups. I am a texture person too, usually, but loved the roughness of raw silk. I was surprised!

My dress is in my bio under "Attire".  It's Pronovias "Alcanar".  In some says it's exactly what I wanted - it's a lace bodice with a sweetheart neckline that has lace trickling down into a tulle skirt.  It's so elegant and feminine and delicate (I felt like satin gowns were extraordinarily heavy, and I wanted something light especially as we're getting married outside at the end of summer and it could be quite warm).  In other ways, it's exactly what I didn't want - strapless and ballgown.  But I love it, and it's perfect for me.  Though I'm still debating on and off whether I want to add lace straps.

I haven't gotten my dress in yet - soon, hopefully!  I don't know if I'll need something underneath - I do know that the neckline was a bit scratchy, so I'm going to have her put in something soft so it doesn't give me a rash on that sensitive skin on my cleavage and under my arms!

If you know a good seamstress, ask them to add a layer of satin or some other material under the crinny, that way you don't have to feel it against your skin. My aunt did that on one of my prom dresses years ago, and it made it sooooo much more comfortable.

Kendall - I didn't know the name of it when I wrote the bio, so I googled Pronovias to figure out what dress it was (I knew the designer, but didn't get the name).  Planeta looks really similar - actually in the photos, that one looks more like the way the Alcanar looks on my body than the Alcanar in its promo photos.  I don't like the Alcanar photos at all.  Since then, more photos have come out with brides in Alcanar if you Google it (before it was just the promo photos as it was brand new) and I love how it looks on real life brides.  Just not the stupid stick-skinny models.

I need to update the dress name in the bio, that's all.

    I love your dress

Calindi I also really liek yours - I wouldn't add straps either, like the others said. if it is fitted well it will sit well and wont be uncomfortable. it is so beautiful how it is already.

you can always get the seamstress to add an under layer liek pp said, or wear a slip of some kind if it is itchy - I can't wear tool just open for that reason. drives me bonkers with the itching.

I also love the fight with the sewing machine comment. pick ups - shivvveerrr. My mom is on a dress kick right now and I had a white satin strapless for graduation (HS). eh. I love lace and i'd be shocked if I end up with anything but that for my dress. I already told my mom that I refuse to try on anything that even remotely resembles my graduation dress or any ball gowns/formal dresses I've had to wear in the past and she only wants to see me in that. This coming from the woman that had a lace dress that she never thought she would like and loved - still hating on the lace, crazy lady. The bridal store is going to love me and my agreeable nature. I'm sure I'm going to go in with like 1-4 options I want to see and pick one of those dresses in less then 20 minutes and be done. I've never tried on more then 3 dresses for anything formal before I found the one I was getting - and it has always been the first one I tried on that I liked the best.

Kendall- Pretty dress. I love the detailing, I just love sparkle.

I agree with the pick-ups, I know a lot of people like them but I don't like them at all, to me it  just looks unfinished and accidental and like something that belongs on my bed.. But then again I don't like any detail on my skirt, I wanted people to be looking at my face..not my skirt. So, I just wanted a plain jane skirt and it was so hard to find with the detail that I wanted on the top.  I guess people don't like plain skirts without any detail.... But I found one and is it just perfect.

I'm sure I'm going to go in with like 1-4 options I want to see and pick one of those dresses in less then 20 minutes and be done. I've never tried on more then 3 dresses for anything formal before I found the one I was getting - and it has always been the first one I tried on that I liked the best.</strong>
