    I have my shower today so I'm about to go shopping for something to wear. I really shoudl have left 30 minutes ago..but you know..I always get distracted.

    I was fine last night, then BAM! Woke up at 4 a.m. with sore throat/awful sinus stuff. I'm so sad that it waited until the weekend to show up. This is supposed to be my fun time!

    I also had a dream that I accidentally (?) wore my wedding dress again, and needed to get it cleaned & preserved all over again, so I came on here and asked if any of you knew how I could frame it in a shadow box to display in my house.

    Amy - glad to hear you're planning to keep busy! When a previous BF was away for a long time and we had limited phone contact, I bought a journal and wrote him letters in it the whole time he was gone. I think I also copied song lyrics and poems that reminded me of him. (I should mention that I was 19 at the time). It kept my mind busy and kept my focus on "us" even though he wasn't there, you know?

    ETA: And I'm hoping to go see a dog today. But I think I say that every time I post on the weekends, and it almost never happens. The dog I was so close to actually adopting last weekend is completely gone from Petfinder! The foster mom just stopped contacting me altogether. I'm sad.

    Work most of the day, but a nice suprise I have off tomorrow. Of course when I find this out I get told that I'm going with my FI to a bridal show to work a booth for his friend...yay lol. Oh and I got told I'm the lead contender for the new job I'd been hoping to get! That made my day :)

    Marie, I have had the same gross sinus-y feeling since about Wednesday.  Came down to Waco last night and MIL drugged me up quite well.  =)

    This year is the 50th anniversary for the Waco Symphony, and MIL was honored today as the creator of the Symphony Brass (young men's group that teaches high school boys how to be gentlemen).  We've been spending most of the day at brunch, the symphony, and a reception afterward.  It's fun.

    H and I wanted to go see Hunger Games tomorrow, but his best friend is in town so we're planning on seeing him instead.  Might catch a late show, but I drove down here with SIL, and we'll need to get back to Dallas at a decent hour.

    Amy, I am really happy to hear that you are keeping yourself busy.  I am so proud of you (and FI) for how well you are handling this incredibly difficult time.

    </div><div>BUT.  Today I did buy $35 worth of plants to kill at Calloways. :P  I bought some moss rose, sweet potato vine, purple heart, some type of cornflower, and another really awesome plant that I can't remember the name of.  My goal is to keep them alive and pretty until FI gets home.  FI had this big, clear storage box on our patio stuffed with old sports equipment.  Unfortunately, I noticed it had taken on about 3" of water.  Today I threw all of that away and once I get my old rusted bike off the patio, we'll be able to set in the chairs and look at the purdy new flowers.  Awww.</div><div>
    </div><div>I sent FMIL an e-mail tonight clarifying some things that I think they were under the wrong impression on (me "forcing" FI to go, FI paying for everything, FI not needing this extreme of an intervention, etc).  I re-wrote that sucker about seven times before I finally sent it.  I don't know if I'll actually get a response, but I'm tired of being cut-off from people I used to have a great relationship with and not having ANY idea why.
