Christian Knotties- Help me out!

My photographer is making our guest book using our engagement photos. We discussed having a bible verse theme, so I need to get her some bible verses.

Anyone have any that are near and dear to their heart?

TIA!

[QUOTE]FI and I were just talking about how we want to start looking for a verse for us. so far we've mentioned Proverbs 27:17which talks about as iron sharpens iron, and Jer 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you. Let me know what you find!

• I think Ash's links are better than any I could have suggested!

This one might not necessarily be for what you need, but I love this one:
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." -Col 3:12-14
• I'm partial to that bit in Ruth.

Ruth - Chapter 1:16-17
But Ruth replied "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go, I will go and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.
Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me."
• 1 Cor. 13:13- For now these three remain faith, hope, and love but the greatest of these is love.

• Love is patient, love is kind.....
My absolute favorite.
You could have one line per page of the verse, which would cover several pages?
• These are all such great suggestions! Thank you all SO much!!

• I have always loved Psalm 37:4 (Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart)
I also like Song of Solomon 6:3 "I am my beloved and He is mine, he browses among the lilies" (The inspiration for my lily tatto :D

• "Where you go, I will go and where you stay I will stay."

This is my favorite. I'm going to have it engraved on my fiance's wedding present from me.
• Here are some of my favorite verses for a wedding:
John 15:9-12
Ephesians 5:21-33
Colossians 3:12-17
• I looked on the links, and here's a few that I liked (in case you didn't have time to look, and also for the benefit of others!)

1 Peter 4:8

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Ephesians 4:2

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

1 John 4:18-19

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. We love because he first loved us.

Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.

Not all of them are directly wedding related but they might have a place depending on how you're doing your album. (-:

• Not necessarily wedding related, but good verses for marriage and life in general..

• My favorite verse is Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

It may not necessarily wedding related, but in my case I think it works. It took me 33 years to meet my fiance. However, we had so many chances to meet that it's crazy. He only lived 20 miles from me and at one time, my brother lived less than five from him. His sister went to the same college and he was at my college graduation. Even crazier is that I met him when I got my car fixed...if my mom hadn't gotten out of the hospital a day early, I wouldn't have taken the car in until the next week....and Vince would have been at his new job.

Everything I went through for 33 years worked together for me to meet Vince at just the right time. Smile

I love that verse. It really fits well for FI and I as well. We grew up in the same tiny town and didnt actually meet until almost a year ago. God wasn't ready for us to meet yet- we both had to grow and mature into strong Christians so we were ready for each other!
