need college musician for cocktail hour!

I am looking for a string duet or music of some sort for cocktail hour.  I don't want to pay a ton.  I emailed the director at Otterbein University Orchestra, but I haven't heard back.  Do any of you have contacts for any students or someone cheap?

I know Capital won't help you get into contact with anyone.

Here are the places I contacted, and their fees:
-Flute Cocktail, duo $300 for the first hour, $150 each additional hour.
    - barelybaroquestrings.com, I think it was $115 per musician for the first hour, then $15/musician each additional half hour.  That was for ceremony, I'm not sure if it would be different for cocktail hour only.
    - Serenata Duo (flute and guitar), $150 for cocktail hour.
kellyjakubowski.webnode.com, It was $450 for ceremony and cocktail hour and a half.

I contacted Otterbein, and it was for a string quartet, for just the ceremony it was $425. The two links above were given to me by OSU's music program.

We decided on Serenata Duo. Hope that information helps!

We are having Flute Cocktail for our ceremony, we are doing the trio. For the cocktail hour we are either going to keep them for another hour ($225 additional) or I have negotiated a price with a harpist to play for the same amount. She charges $300/hour normally but she is negotiable if you ask. Let me know if you want her info!

[QUOTE]We are using a duo (piano and violin) from our church band.  One is a professor from OSU Marion branch, the other is a currently a very talented music student at Ohio State (she plays the violin) named Kristen Peters.  I know she has been in a few music groups and might be able to help you with your wedding.  I'm not sure how much she would charge, but you can contact her and get more information. Kristen Peters peters.489@osu.edu 614-507-8453 Good luck planning!
