Favors on a Budget

I'm having a blue and silver October wedding but I'm trying to figure out how to do table numbers and do favors on a budget. Any recommendations or Ideas?

Re: Favors on a Budget

  • That will be a gorgeous color coordinattion.I feel like table numbers are pretty easy to do economically. you can simply  have them printed and use stands. Or paint them. Also,I have seen girls use the chalkboards that you can get at michaels using coupons.

For favors. people tend ot love edible favors And those can be fairly inexpensive-- perhaps some choc covered preztels.

  • I ended up using scrapbooking paper, accessories and made tent cards for my table numbers...it was an inexpensive alternative
  • I am using 3 wine corks wrapped in ribbon to hold the table number which I am just printing on cute paper. I am also making my grandmothers fudge recipe for favors
  • Favors--honestly people just through them away or eat them and forget them the next week.  Do a donation.  Nobody will miss the favors and you can spend as much as you can afford toward a cause/charity that is important to you and your fiance.
  • You could do something as simple as hershey kisses (silver!) spread on the table. You can put your name and/or date on the bottom of them with a sticker, but if you're trying to save money, you could just do without. As the PP said, no one will miss the favors. I went to a wedding last summer and the bride just told me that her favors were the wine glass charms on our toasting glasses, we had no idea and didn't take them, but I didn't even notice that there wasn't a "traditional" favor. I'd say skip on the votives or matchbooks.

COMPLETELY agree with this suggestion!! This is exactly what we did for our wedding.  You can print up a little card for each table or just make one large sign for the guest book table stating that "In leiu of favors, a donation as been made to..." I also made my own table numbers...I bought VERY cheap 4x6 picture frames (for about $1 a piece) and printed up the numbers from my computer, added just a little touch of decoration to each (some stick on pearls) and they came out fabulous!! People asked to take them home :) So you can definitly do both your table numbers for very cheap and still have it all be fantastic :)
  • O and btw...the frames I found were silver...I used white paper with big navy blue numbers...and our wedding was in October too!! Too funny :)
