Inexpensive but reliable Day-of or Month-of Coordinator

    I am using Angie with Absolutely Events. Her number is 619.929.5501 and her website is absolutelyevents.net. I am from out of town and someone recommeded her on here. I ended up going with her for more of a full time planner, but she has gone over the top on every single thing she has helped me with so far...and I still have 10 months to go! Give her a call, she is fabulous!

    I'm using Divine Events by Helena.  She is amazing and SUPER affordable.

    I second Angie from Absolutely Events - I hired her last year to help me and she was completely fabulous!!!  She was also affordable, and to be honest I would have paid double for everything she did for my fiance and me. My wedding would honestly not have been as wonderful had it not been for her help.

    One piece of advice though - definitely check out references.  (Angie has great ones, and if you want a past bride's detailed perspective of her feel free to e-mail me.)  There are several people out there who are coordinators or other vendors that undersell the true professionals in this business and who don't have much experience on their own.  We almost learned this the hard way in trying to find a coordinator when we almost hired someone who had very little experience and not many references to be able to provide us.  We had a good feeling about that person, but we didn't want to gamble it.  Same situation with one of my girlfriends getting married right now on the east coast but she went with the person that didn't totally check out and now has a mess on her hands. :(

    I third Angie.

    I am using her as a partial planner and she is very affordable.  The great thing is that you can start at one level and increase it if you want to.

    she is great and very patient with you - spends what ever time you want with her. My thing is communication - I always want to know what is going on or not going on - and she is great with calming me down, keeping me in the loop and treating me special.

    highly recommend her

    I hate to ask, what do you consider reasonable?  I've considered, but already feel like we're spending waaayyy more than originally anticipated.

    We just met with Courtney from After the Engagement www.aftertheengagement.com on recommendation of this board and think we are going to use her.  I had the same issue as smithvanessa21 wanting someone with experience.  We did hear from someone who did not have a lot of references and not much experience.  I wnated someone who knew what they were doing and was reliable and not tons of money.

    I am using Shellie at  In style event planning.  you actually meet with the coordinators more than just the day of, and they think of things that never would have occured to me. I know they have different  packages ranging from coordinating everthing from the ground up, to day of, week of or month of.  They have done about 600 weddings and I'm super excited so far.  website is instyleeventplanning.com

    I'm using Brenda Swann at Swann Soirees. www.swansoirees.com She's always voted Top Coordinator or Vendor on Bridal Insider. She have SO many ideas and a great team who works with her. Her prices are insanely reasonable and you get much more than just day-of or even month-of. I email her pretty frequently and she'll get back to me within a day or two. Many other coordinators limit email communication if you only do day/month of packages.

    Every month she holds a "bridal nosh" where all of her brides, both past and present, get together over nibblies and wine to share planning stories, advice, vent, etc. It's awesome!! I've gotten so many ideas from the noshes and feel like crazy :-) With her experience and ideas, she should easily be priced $200 more than she is currently. It's a steal and worth every dime!
