We picked up our marriage license today! That was like the last giant check we had to get out of the way! Now I just need to meet with the rest of the vendors next Monday ... final wedding dress fitting on Thursday. We'll see how this goes since I fell down the stairs on Friday and officially sprained my foot. I'm sure a walking boot will look LOVELY under my Sottero and Midgley dress Cry I'm being SUCH  a good patient. Perhaps 20 years of ballet muscle memory will heal my foot faster.

    Congrats on the license!  I hope your foot gets better soon. At least it's your foot (under your dress) and not your arm, which would be exposed!

    Congratulations!  If it's any consolation, I've very badly sprained the same ankle twice in the last few years, and both times I was back walking on my own feet and in my own shoes in just a couple of weeks. While you might have a little trouble at the fitting, I'm quite sure you'll be back up to par for the actual wedding!

    DrPB2b13: I feel better knowing it was just a couple weeks before you were back in fighting condition, LOL. I may as well have been walking down the street, I fell down the last step! Yes, the one 6 inches above the floor! I just rolled it out and fell on top of it. A "dancer's roll" they called it. Frighteningly appropriate. In any event, I hope to be out of my boot by the end of the week and at least in sneakers with a foot brace. I'll keep you guys posted :)

    That's almost exactly how I rolled my ankle both times, and I'm also a former dancer.  I agree, it is rather appropriate - I'm just glad I didn't do it while I was actually still dancing :)  It won't be 100% in a couple of weeks, but it should be good enough to walk on and going by your wedding ticker, you should be good to walk down the aisle and have those special dances on the big day.
