Boudoir Pics? (esp need marrieds & locals help)

First, for the dudes on the site:  Did you get these?  Did you like them?  If you didn't get them, do you think you would have liked to receive them as a gift?   Weird?  Cool?  Hot?

For the brides/marrieds who is/has done boudoir pics as a gift for the groom:
1) Who did you use?
2) How much?  Did the package include hair & makeup?
3) I assume you bring your own lingerie.  Right?  Right?  Eww?
4) How early did you have to do them in order to have pics/book/etc. ready in time?

Thanks!

I'm gonna XP on our FB group b/c I think it has more married traffic than TK does.

So I'm not local, but I made a special trip to go with Dott Photography / iseesexy.com. Olga is amazing. Check out her blog, blog.iseesexy.com. Her session fee is $150, which gives you up to 4 outfit changes. You can then order prints / albums a la carte. That didn't include the hair & makeup but I believe Francesca charges $150 for the shoot. She's there the whole time to do touch ups as well. I did mine way in advance because that was when I could make it to Vegas, but I know Olga will work with you if you need a rush order. DH actually cried when I gave him the album, he was blown away that I had done this for him. ETA - and yes, brought my own outfits.

I am local but did not get my pics done here, I had them done in Japan by the same photographer that did our E-pics. She was great, I paid $250 for the session and I had multiple outfit changes and she gave me the CDs of the pictures afterwards. We did it at our apartment there, I felt more comfortable this way. I did my own make up and hair since it wa since in a foreign country.

You'll use your lingerie, use things of your FI's too(I incorporated his polo shirt, parts of his uniform like dogtag and hats). Also, just panties and bras work really well and shows off your body greatly. H LOVED all the pictures when I gave him the album and CD. He looks at them all the time especially when he is on deployment. I also had so much fun during the shoot and it was such a confidence booster!

I know you asked for local recs, if I did mine locally, I would have gone with Dott Photography too. Their portfolio is great!

I'm not local but did a shoot for H.  Funny that I forgot to give them to him though.

Mine was $150 for the shoot and all the images.  I did them at the photographer's (female) house.  I had a couple glasses of wine before the shoot so that I could be a little more relaxed.  I would recommend 3-4 months before the wedding.

I brought lingerie, Broncos and a Cowboys jersey, High heels, boa, pearls, etc.  I looked up pictures online to get a feel of what I wanted to wear.  I did my own hair and makeup.  Some of the pricing I did get for photos, hair & makeup was from $300 and up.

It was a lot of fun though.  Would definitely do again.

as a boudoir photographer, i am definitely going to say, you NEED to do this! It's such a blast! I am even going on my 7th session (but for me, it def. helps since I am friends with so many bpic photogs!)

    1) Who did you use? Many but since you're in Vegas my recommendtion is Stacie with Haute Shots. She's a good friend and she's fantastic! I'll be in Vegas in FEB for a conference and I am having her shoot a session so I can give some to fiance..again LOL

    2) How much?  Did the package include hair & makeup? This totally ranges and is going to depend on area. I know people who are just starting out who charge 150 and give a dvd away while others are up near 1k. Experience and a great portfolio is going to raise this price.

    3) I assume you bring your own lingerie.  Right?  Right?  Eww? Most places supply lingerie (obv. not reused thongs, etc) but i'd say 90% are going to have you bring your own stuff.

    4) How early did you have to do them in order to have pics/book/etc. ready in time? Again, depends on the photog. I have my stuff done in 3-4 weeks but others, depending on what they offer may take longer. To be on the safe side plan ahead. Like I said, I am doing mine in feb for a may wedding.

good luck and have fun!!! it's SO much fun!!

1)I had mine done in my hometown (NY). It was a blast and so worth it. DH loved them, gave them to him on our wedding night. I would soooo do it again. 2) I paid around $450 for a portfolio book and my hair/mup. A little pricey compared to the other ladies. But didn't have to many photogs to choose from. 3) yes you do bring your own wardrobe. She had props for me to use. I wore his motocross jersey and a button down shirt. This one place I looked into supplied the clothes.... Now that's GROSS!! 4) I would say atleast a couple months in advance just to make sure you have them in time.
