Re: Does this veil go?

  • I don't see why not. I think it would work very well with the dress. And the little detail at the bottom gives it something extra.

I think both the veil and your dress are beautiful. I think they would look lovely together.

  • I think they will both look beautiful.

  • They will look great together! I have a borderline unhealthy love for ultra long veils.
  • I'm going to have to disagree with PPs - I think the texture on the skirt of the dress would kind of clash with the elegance of the long veil and the extra detailing on the veil is too much for the already detailed dress.

I think both items are lovely but would work better separately.

The bodice of the dress is much simpler so I think a veil that is mid-waist length at longest would look better.

    Opinion only :)

  • I didn't mean to rain on your parade - have you actually tried wearing them together? That will tell you 100% for sure, sometimes it is hard to visualize things without actually seeing them. If you really love them both at least give it a go trying them on together :)

  • I have to agree with Entropic. I think the dress is so beautiful and the bottom of the dress is amazing. I think you should wear a shorter veil.

[QUOTE]I see the logic of the gals who say the long veil would take away from the beautiful detailing of the skirt, because it would be less obvious through the veil, but I also think that if that's the kind of veil you envision yourself in, you should go for it, it will look stunning.  Plus, assuming you aren't planning on wearing that veil all night (dancing with it on could be troublesome) you could also get a shorter veil (or other hair accessory) to put on for the reception.  That will give the dress plenty of time to be the star!
