pumpkin rolls

I want to use pumpkin rolls as one of the main dessert at my reception because my future mother in law makes the best.  I'm also going to have a desesert provided by the hall (cherry jubilee, banana foster, or sundaes) and most likely some sheet cakes that are going to be in the back until cut.  ...MY QUESTION IS...if any one has any idea on how or what I should do to display the pumpkin rolls or if any one has any idea on another way I can incorporate the rolls into the reception.  :)

First off you need to be sure that you can bring outside food into your venue. Many vendors don't allow it because their insurance will not cover it if anyone was to get sick. You may also need to buy your own insurance in order to serve them.

Secondly you need to be sure that your FMIL REALLY wants to make them. She will be spending all day before and/or the day of the wedding in the kitchen. Is that something she's wants to do when she may miss out on other things?

she 100% wants to do it and I'm not sure what the difference is between a cake being brought into a venue or pumpkin rolls being brought in.

<div>One is made by a licensed bakery that complies with applicable health codes, the other is made under who-knows-what conditions.  Not saying your FMIL doesn't care about cleanliness, but there's a big difference between a professional bakery and someone whipping up a few batches of a dessert in their home kitchen.  You need to check with your venue to see if they (and their insurance policy) will let you bring in the pumpkin rolls.  </div>
