  • I wanted to get some for me and my girls for pictures, but it just didn't happen and time is running out!

Kelley--you've got less than a week, eh?   You're SOL if you want to buy them online.  Your best chance would be to get them at a local antique store.

You'll make a beautiful bride with or without gloves though, don't worry!

I'd love to, but I think that I have so much going on with my outfit already. With the heat and the logistics of the ring, I just decided not to.

Thanks!!!  If I have time this week I might hit the antique mall.
  • I am wearing short black lace gloves and hopefully they look super cute :)

  • I am getting gloves. I really want them for the look, but must say I'm worried about the ring logistics. What do you ladies think?  Should I take off the glove and hand it to my MOH right before the ring is slipped on? (If I did that I would probably cut a little slit in the glove so it comes off easier. I am wearing elbow length) Or could the ring be placed over the glove? Is that really tacky and weird?

Mine were wrist-length so i was able to slip them off easily.  For you, I would suggest undoing the seam in the ring finger to slip it out easily.  This is what brides typically did in those days when they faced this same dilema.  I didn't want to cut a slit in my gloves, or undo the seam since the gloves were an heirloom (and weren't mine!).  But, as I said, I was able to discretely slip the left glove off during the ring ceremony, and it worked fine.

  • I got gloves but still not sure whether or not I'll be wearing them yet.  I still need to try them on with the dress and all the accessories... it'll also depend on how hot it'll be when we get married in July.  :)
