vessles for candy

we are doing a candy bar as favours but I;m unsure about what we should use to hold the candy.  I've seen some big glass jars (or were they vases?) at micheal's but theya re so expensive!  i also saw some shallow, white dishes at the dollar store and i thought those might work beause it would be easier to get the candy out.

i don't want to pay a lot of money for the vessles, which is why i thought the white ones might be best as they were $1.00 per piece and i can probably use them again.  plus they were easy to find!

  • I've checked store like that and haven't had any luck yet.
  • When is your wedding? Mine is next year and I invest every Saturdays to garage sales. The same dollar vases or glass containers would be as low as a quarter to as high as a dollar. Don't forget to stick a fist in and out of the container, you want to make sure your guests don't have a problem getting the candy. One last thing about used glass, was with soap and water then rinse the inside with vinegar then rinse again with just water. Vinegar makes glass sparkle.

    good tip with the vinegar!
  • Ask friends and family if they have any glass vases/dishes/apothecary jars you could borrow and just return when the wedding is over.
