Ask me why!!!!???? Kinda long

Did I just have a super long convo with my WASBAND about his love life and current girlfriend !!!!! Eeek!!!! LOL... It was actually a decent convo for once. He was saying that ol girl wants to get married and have more kids (she has 2 from prev relationship) and he has our 1. However, his biggest complaint seemed to be that she is too submissive and every now and then he wants a challenge. The whole time I'm thinking( fool, you can't handle a challenge nor an opinionated woman)

He was basically saying why would she want to marry him?? He said he really doesn't have a relationship with her kids, and he doesn't go the extra mile in bed (that was a bit much for me!).. Basically saying that he doesn't give his all in the relationship...BUT, once I gave tiny( and I mean tiny) bits on my relationship and just relationships in general and how God is the head of mine and FI relationship, he started to lighten up and say that he was the problem and she is (THE ONE) and so on....also he was wanting to know where him and I went wrong and how that could help him in the future of what not to do?? WOW!!

It seemed as if he was seeking my approval to marry this girl almost...or that he needed some kind of confirmation that the door with me was really closed? (buddy, that has been clipped, tied, burnt and laminated, like Fallopian tubes!!! LOL!

What y'all think???

Wow. That was a serious conversation. I think the ex was trying to tie up loose ends and he definitely wanted to seek your opinion/approval on his current relationship I guess based on how he knew you were with him. He values your thoughts and that speaks highly of what he thought of you in the relationship. He has learned a lot and wants to take that into his new relationship. That being said if he still has feelings for you, you would be able to detect that the best. If that is the case, then as HappyGal said, I'd stay off the deep topics.

I have had similar conversations with my ex but we were in a very comfortable place with each other to have that conversation. Both of us had moved on and the conversation was very objective. No unfinished business whatsoever.

lol@wasband! I think you just made a new word. My 11 year olds father and I were not married (we were just young and dumb), but we're friendly now. He'll call me up with women problems all the time. I eyeroll through the whole conversation, but I do like him divulging info with me because then I kind of get an idea who the women are that my son is being around.

It must be the week of the Wasband! I had to call my Wasband's girlfriend up and tell her to get her man or we were going to end up in court again. He's been really trippin lately the last two weeks.Sending me all kinds of crazy emails. His GIRLFRIEND told me he was still in love with me and will always love me and he was still on the divorce roller coaster. Give me a break! We have been divorced for 5 years and I have been divorced in my heart longer than that!

MRS D!!! You are a better woman than me. I probably wouldn't have even entertained the conversation.

Thanks girlies!!! Update***** A 20pearls I sooooo stole that WASBAND from you B!!!!! LOL!!! Sooo, just a bit of background on me and him....he and I were divorced 6 yrs ago and have been rocky ever since where my daughter was concerned because he was still in love...the past yr we have been in a child support battle and final hearing is upcoming( when we divorced, child support was not ordered, we were in an excellent place and I didn't feel I would have an issue, how wrong I was!!) he acted a complete damn, zip-zap fool when I started dating again! We are like oil and water , we just don't mix, it has gotten to the point we have to email back and forth about my daughter. When I meet him to get her...I dont even look his way hunny and was shocked to be damned that he even text me to ask if he could talk to me "off the record" !!! I know, I know....LOL! I kinda think he just wanted to have a reason to talk to me and FI was hot as fish grease when I told him because what he has put me through, the past year ( he called his self tryna keep my kid in Memphis last year and I wasnt having that) my uncle and the family court system putt that a$$ in check hunny!!!

@ sultry LOL! Everyone has roots in the south! My mom was raised in Oakland, CA and she says zip zap fool!! That's why just had to throw that in there! I'm an old soul girl, I spent my childhood around my granny and her sisters!
