Brides-to-be, how's it going?

As I get closer to the date (Hi, by the way! I'm a July 28th bride.), I get more and more excited (and feel less and less motivated to do anything other than stalk TK).

We confirmed head-count and paid the venue today. In sad news, this evening my friend texted that his on-again-off-again GF is now off-again. So we're already down one guest.

Also, I'm sort of puzzled by my last DIY projects. But, at the end of the day, the tables will have numbers on them one way or another.

    Same here. Confirmed the head count and paid the venue. Now my bridesmaid said her boyfriend may not come to the wedding at all. I'm trying right now to find out why. I might offer her the option to invite a close friend of hers who is also a friend of the family, just because we already paid for her bf's meal/drinks. Still, it's annoying so I know how you feel.

    I'm just cleaning my house in preparation for my bachelorette party on Saturday. Friday I have to pick up my wedding dress.  Next week I'm going to be busy getting all my stuff organized to bring to the hotel, ceremony, and reception and I have a few appointments/errands to run. Thankfully I am only working Monday and Tuesday next week.

    STRESSFUL.
    I cannot stand my recepion venue, they are not organized at all.
    2 weekends ago we met up and finalized the bill, minus the linens & figured out what our bill was. They said we had a balance of $1800. However, we deposited $1000 and owed $800 plus whatever the linens were.
    I've been calling them for the past 4 days trying to figure out the linen cost. Each time I spoke with them, they said call me tomorrow, call me tomorrow, call me tomorrow. SO, I call last night. They said call tomorrow morning, i'm not at the hall - So and So will be there to help you. I call, she just got in and will call me back. She calls me back, I couldnt answer. She leaves a voicemail - "Hi Caitlin This is ... You final balance owed yet is $1,876."

    WTF

    I call her back. I said firstly I called for the LINENS not my balance. Secondly I do not owe $1800 - I owe $800+linens. I'm NOT paying the extra $1000, I have my receipt that I paid it.  After that's said and done about the linens and final bill we hang up.
    Now, she's calling me back asking for my final head count.

    AGAIN, WTF.

    I told her we gave our final head count at the last meeting.
    Her response " Oh, i'm looking at the wrong contract, i'm looking at the gals for this weekend"


    WTFFFFFFFFF!
    I'm so irritated.

    Can I start this day over again???

    That sucks that they're so unorganized.

    Our venue is organized, but doesn't communicate well.  I needed to supply a table layout at least ten days out (which is today - ten more days!!!!) - and I e-mailed the layout to the venue July 2 with a few questions.  Never heard back.  Called yesterday and the coordinator said she got the e-mail, table layout looked good, and answered my qestions.  Why couldn't she just respond to the e-mail?

    Oh well - that's really nothing to complain about.

    Things are coming together for me and with everything NWR that I have going on in the next few days, I'm trying to stay organized.  Now that IL's have finalized RD plans, the only that that is worrying me is the programs.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute.

    I'm finally getting excited! I have a checklist of 50 things still to do (and three more days to do it!) but everything feels like it is finally coming together.

    I think all we need to do is print programs and iron linens... I think that's it. Which worries me, am I forgeting something?? I keep checking my list making sure nothing pops up in my head that I forgot. I'm a July 28 bride with almost nothing WR left to do!
    Corybabe01, I seriously think we have the same venue. Ok, maybe not. But maybe the people who are in charge or our venues are related??

    Everything is pretty much done!  Just have to print escort cards out and have my bachelorette party this weekend (I'm July 29)

    Phewww... now i'm calmed down :-)

    I don't have much to do yet. Our bachlor/bachlorette party is Saturday night.
    Were just going our for dinner with everyone + friends, there's 25 of us. After dinner were going to a local pub to have some drinks and listen to the band thats playing.

    Next week is going to be hectic. I work Monday and Tuesday, then i'm off the rest of the week. I have to organize everything and seperate them into 3 piles - Ceremony, Reception and hotel. All that I really have left to do is fill the favors with mints. Buy some alcohol, veggies/fruit, chips/pretzels for the reception.

    I need to get a spray tan, get a mani/pedi, pick my dress up from the cleaner.
    Friday were going for lunch and then setting up the reception hall. Friday night we have RD.

    Then i'm set for my Saturday morning wedding :-)

    I don't have a timeline for the wedding day. So i'm hoping everything just falls into place and goes well ....fingers crossed.

    Sunday 3AM we leave for our honeymoon. Also, my brother leaves for basic training on Sunday.
    ahhhhh, I cannot wait to relax :-)

    I just dropped most all of my wedding cr*p off to my wedding planner on the way to work this morning, feels so good to get that out of the house. I have today and tomorrow to get through work somehow before my wedding this Saturday!!!! I can't believe it's all happening and is here! So excited to pick my MOH up at the airport tomorrow!
