When does dad give me away

Hello ladies, I am finishing up my ceremony and I can't figure out when my father "gives" me away. I do what to do the traditional "Who give this woman?" But I'm not sure it it goes before the welcome of the guest or between the welcome of the guest and the couple. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've seen it as the very first thing- you walk down the aisle, you're given away- then the welcome begins the rest of the ceremony.

The reverand who married us did it after his welcome.

We skipped it but I would do it right at the start - either before the welcome (right when you get to the top of the aisle and your dad shakes hands with your groom and you take your groom's arm) or just after the welcome from the officiant.
