Uplighting?

Uplighting might be in the budget... anyone have any recommendations for a reasonably priced vendor?

Re: Uplighting?

  • Does your DJ provide any lighting or do they have a partnership with an uplighting company?  Sometimes they can help you out to get a good deal.

    RC Uplighting-  Gets rave reviews

Boston Uplighting-  Rave reviews and they're at a lot of shows

Groove Events-  Heard great things.  An old friend works for them now and says they're great to work for and with.

Cambridge uplighting-  My aunt uses them for work and really likes them.

Creative Uplighting- I haven't heard much about them but they were one that came up in a search a while back.

iWed video also provides uplighting services.
  • I worked with Boston Uplighting. They provided uplights and  flameless candles.
  • I'm using my DJ to do it, but if you already have one I'm sure you could use them for just lighting if you wanted. Move it Music-- I'm working with DJ Jimmy

  • We are using Northeast Uplights. They are really reasonable and they offer all kinds of packages. We contacted about 8 or 10 places and they definitely had the best prices and Matt is extremely nice and helpful.

  • Thanks for the suggestions... I'll check them all out!
  • Suzanne Lowell of SBL Lighting is supposed to be amazing - everyone I know recommended her! - but she's pretty pricey. Otherwise, I'm looking at Boston Uplighting, RC Uplighting - which were highly recommended are (I think!) more reasonably priced - and Swank Audiovisuals.

Have any of you heard of Swank? My florist is pushing them, and I trust her taste, but I haven't seen many reviews...
  • I used Groove Entertainment for DJ, Video, and Uplights.  We got a package deal.  They did a great job.

never heard of them sorry... I emailed RC Uplighting and he's booked for my wedding day =(
  • Oh, too bad about RC Uplighting... I'm sure you'll find someone fabulous for your day, though - and I'll let you know if Swank turns out to be amazing!
