Any Moshulu Brides? Advice?

Hi Guys!  I'm Mel and my fiance is Drew.  We live in San Francisco, but his family is all in Philly and we've decided on a wedding there (plus my family is in Ohio so it's a bit more feasible than flying to SF).  June, 2013.

Does anyone have any stories about the Moshulu?  Perfect fit for us in look, style, and price.  BUT, with airfare what it is, we'd likely be booking (or at least placing a deposit) sight unseen.

I have all the info from Darcy there, (who rocks thus far), but it's hard to get an idea on the levels of decks, etc from what she provided.

Any insight or a link to a bride's reviews would be awesome!

    I've been to a wedding there and it was very nice.  When you walk over the gangplank, that level is where the main room is.  We went up large stairs and then up again some smaller steps to get to the level where the ceremony was held.  I think that there is an elevator for people who can't manage the stairs. However, we had to stand for the ceremony because there's not a lot of room for chairs.  There were some chairs but those were for family and people who couldn't stand. It wasn't a really long ceremony, so it was no big deal.  We overlooked the water and the bride and groom faced each other in front of us.  If you have any other questions, I can try to answer them.

    my guy and i looked at the moshulu too...we ultimately decided to go with a mansion in langhorne pa.  the moshulu is a very nice place and great for small groups i feel.

    i've eatin there before (not as part of a wedding) and the food was very good.  

    and, from my research, the team there is all very helpful.

    We also live in SF and are getting married in Philly where I'm originally from. We considered the Moshulu as well as many other places but ultimately went with Valley Green Inn. Happy to connect to share Philly info!
