Re: Please share what music you are playing for your Ceremony.

  • Prelude: Morning Has Broken, Hornpipe from Handel's Watermusic, Canonic Sonata, O Mio Babbino Caro, Hallelujah
Seating of Mothers: I didn't really plan anything specific. They'll be seated during whichever song above is playing when they sit I guess.
BM Entrance: Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring
    Bride: Wonderful Tonight (Clapton)
    Recessional: In My Life (Beatles)

I'm still on the fence about the BM entrance and my entrance. I think 2 songs will be too long (we have a short aisle and only 2 bridesmaids!), so I'm thinking of having just one song and walking in at the opportune time. If this is the case, it will either be Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring or Canon in D.

Preceremony: FI created a 30 minute playlist of intrumentals-some jazz pieces, some ambient. I couldn't even tell you what cost of it is.

The only other music we have is the Processional: "All I Want is You" by the Vitamin String Quartet and the Recessional: "Shake This Town" by Robbie Robertson.

  • We're using "Here Comes the Sun" for the processional (bridal party and bride), and "All You Need is Love" for the recessional.

I actually told the musicians to play whatever they want for seating of the parents as well as the prelude and postlude.  I don't really care that much, and this way it's one less thing to think about.
  • Groom/family/WP entrance:  Forever by Ben Harper (love this song)
Bride entrance: The Rest of Your Life (by some Hawaiian artist)
And then we have 2 more songs.....one will be the recessional....not sure where we are putting the other one yet.
    Better Together by Jack Johnson
Somewhere over the Rainbow (by that Hawaiian dude).
