  Good question cux I'm wondering the same thing....

  
  

  I went back and started going through the contracts some want payment 2 wks before the wedding or some state cash only day of.

  
  

  So if you don't feel comfortable having all the cash on hand write them a check 2 wks prior to the wedding.

  
  

  OR

  
  

  you could talk to the vendor n ask them what they prefer.

  if you have a coordinator, they usually make the day-of payments. we gave our DOC all of the final payments, in marked and sealed envelopes, at the rehearsal. she made sure everyone was paid the day-of

  Yea I paid all my vendors 2 weeks prior by check.  I did have to pay of videographer the day of our wedding and we did pay in cash but we gave it to our DOC in a sealed envelop to give to them.

  This is what we're doing. Most vendors want cash or cashier's check on the day-of, lest a personal check bounce. You can also coordinate paying them by check a week or two prior and just doing cash tips the day-of.
