And then today, holy cow. We got to our post-wedding brunch this morning, and Thierry Rautureau showed up!
Thierry (also known as "the chef in the hat") is the chef at Rover's and Luc. He's been on Top Chef Masters if you ever watch that. FI's mom & stepdad had his company cater the brunch; they to dinner at Rover's for their anniversary every year, so I guess they know each other. We both had no idea this was happening and it was a total surprise. I mean, don't get me wrong, getting married was definitely the best part, but what a thing to happen! The brunch food was of course delicious and it was nice to have more time to sit down and not worry about the day's schedule.
