Jolie Images photography

Hello All, 

We had our engagment pictures taken this week and they came back awesome.  We are using Jolie for our wedding as well.  I was wondering if any of you girls have used Jolie and had Ron(RG) as your photographer?  There are reviews on a few of their photographers but I have not been able to find any on Ron.  So looking for a review and maybe some pictures he has taken.  Thanks.

    Using Jolie Images as well, but we have Shanie as our photog. She's also the photog that takes all the engagement pictures, I think.

    You already got your pictures back? That's awesome! When did you take them? We took ours on the 13th and still waiting.

    I'd love to see yours! :)

    We took ours Tuesday.  We randomly logged into our account to see if they were up and they were.  Shanie is the potogrhaper for the engagement sessions. 
    I do not mind if you look, they are unedited, they edit them when we order which prints we want.

    The event name is "Tarra and William"

    Then another window opens and put in your email address and then the password is 2011.

    Let me know what you think and which ones you like.  I am trying to narrow them down.  There are ALOT!  Happy viewing.

    Yay, those look great!! And holy cow, that IS a lot of pictures! Hahah.

    I'm all about Fall, so I'm very partial to all the shots with the trees and leaves. :) I like # 217, 234, 244, 321, And I absolutely love #371, with the leaves falling around you guys! Overall though, I think they are awesome pics! And I like your hair too. :)

    It rained the whole day we took ours. We already took the day off work so figured we might as well take them anyway. I'm pretty nervous seeing them, because I'm not really sure how they turned out. Guess we'll see. I'll let you know when ours are ready!

    Yep, we're using Jolie too! we had shanie for our engagement pictures, and yeah, i logged in online 3 days after our shoot and our pictures were up, but they didn't call me til 9 days after our shoot saying the disc was ready. i'm glad i was stalking the online listing.

    we're using mike for our wedding day photographer. ps ours are under Kelly and Dan, same password incase you are just bored :)

    Thank you. We had Shanie for our engagement session also.  We have not received our disk or a phone call yet.  I have questions about the disk.  Are they edited? Are any in black and white? Is the disk easy to use and load pictures into the computer to make copies and stuff. 

    I am going to check yours out. :)  We just narrowed ours down to 5 to pick for our save the dates, it is harder than it looks.  We love them all.

    Have you met Mike? or had any contact with him yet? I just think it is a little weird that we have to wait till the week of the wedding till we meet the photographer and set what poses and stuff.  I have tons of questions, they have been great at the office though.

    Yup, I've been stalking their website on a daily basis, at least 2x a day. Hahah! Nothing yet, which is making me nervous, especially since you ladies got yours so quickly after the shoot.

    Where are you both getting married?

    We are getting married and having our reception at DiNolfo's Banquets in Homer Glen.  They have a gorgeous ceremony room and then of course the room for the reception.  September 1, 2012!  You?

    Yeah just start stalking the site.  We could not believe they were up so quickly.

    the images on the disc are a little edited i think, it's hard to tell really because i didn't see the originals. none are in black and white but that is easy enough to do yourself. (or also make sepia toned). the disc is super easy to use, it's just like a burned disc. i popped it into my computer and it wanted to open the file browser so i could look at them. i copied them all over to my computer (1.7 GB!) just for safe keeping. i should probably put them on my external as well.

    yeah, we are having a hard time narrowing it down for the STD's. i started a topic in the DIY board with our final 3 picks, if you're interested to see. it was a little easier because we could only use portrait pictures, the landscape ones didn't fit right in our STD's.

    i haven't met mike yet, i just picked him based on his portfolio. I think his initials are MP. i didn't know that we couldn't meet with him til the week of the wedding, but i guess i'm not super picky about it, and when i went in for our engagement pictures, shanie told me he was great and had a great personality, so i'm not too worried i guess. i'll have a list of pictures to take but i'm assuming it won't be too difficult to get that to him.

    i'm also september 1st, 2012 (i think we're all sept 2012's) and we're getting married in buffalo grove, at st. mary's. our reception will be at the woodfield hyatt regency. i grew up right here (literally between jolie images and the forest preserve where they take e-pics), went to grade school at st. marys, and now work in schaumburg, so it's all very fitting.

    are you from here (chicagoland) originally too?

    I LOVE number 3!  Your STD's are cute, I can not beleive you made them.  I love the color combinations.  How did you make them?

    with GIMP. i seriously feel like i'm a promoter for GIMP, with how much i talk about it, and how few other people know about it. it's like photoshop, but free! it's great, if you have any experience with photoshop or even MS paint, you should download it and just try it out.

    ps, i've been thinking of opening an etsy shop and making custom STD's. do you think people would be interested?

    and the colors are our wedding colors, and also my favorite colors, haha.

    I liked #3 for your STD's too, Kelly! :)

    Our wedding and reception will be at Mt. Prospect on 9/29/12. Wedding's at my home church, Northwest Assembly of God. Reception's at Old Orchard Country Club. I grew up in Chicago, but currently live in Round Lake. But I actually work in Wheeling, barely a block down the street from Jolie Images.


    We should have a GTG if you gals are up for it!

    Kelly, I think people would be interested. I downloaded Gimp last night, didnt have much time to play around with it yet.  I am excited to give it a shot though.  Chiboo9 I would be interested in a GTG.  Did you call Jolie about your pictures yet?  I called yesterday and they put my disk in the mail yesterday.  I can not wait to get them!

    Our pics just posted this afternoon! Yay! Turns out they've been ready since last week and someone forgot to hit the 'start' button. I also just picked up the disc, since they're only down the street from my office.

    Ours are under Mitzi and Jared. Same password as you ladies. I need to weed out a lot of them! LOL.

    Is anyone willing to disclose what package they chose? I'm having a small wedding with just 25 guests. Budget is very small and I'm now thinking about what to do about a photographer.

    What was the initial deposit to book Jolie?  The photographers I am using for my wedding in Mexico I cannot use for my at home reception do to costs so I need photography services for my reception only.

    The basic package at Jolie is only $595. That includes 10 hrs of photography coverage on the day of, and a private website gallery. The more options, the more expensive it gets. I chose the VIP package for $1,495 since we had room in our budget. It's their most expensive package, which I felt wasn't too expensive at all.

    The engagement shoot is an additional $50. If you want the hi-res disc, it's another $25.

    Our deposit when we booked them was only $100.

    I think we are going with the $1195 package. basically you get the cd and the proofs book. I figure I can order my own albums off of snapfish or other sites like that for much cheaper. and you can always add on extra. I LOVE their pricing.

    We ended up getting the disc with the engagement pictures too so that was $75.

    However, we only made a $50 deposit. Maybe because our package was smaller?

    I went with the VIP package for $1495, I think we are also going to get a second photographer for the reception.  They had the best packages and prices compared to some other photo studios I looked at.  Some of them are just outrageous. 

    Our deposit was $100 also.  We also got the disk with our engagement session and paid $75 for that.  So far we are very pleased with the services.  We are waiting for our disk.  Should be here tomorrow.

    I have not decided yet, they do good viedos from the previews I have seen.  I hope it was their videos that I am thinking of. Are you?  I have heard from people, that it is something that you want to spend the extra money on.

    We're having a videographer, but not with Jolie. Our videographer (Leo Pepito from Second Films) was actually the very first vendor we booked, prior to our church or reception venue. He's done my sister's, cousin's, and friend's from a few years back so I knew I had to have him. He's amazing!! Check out his work, if you're in the market for a videographer, at:
