DECORATION HELP!

So, after much searching and looking, I think I've FINALLY found where I'm getting married! :) The problem is, is I need advice/help with decorations. We're having an April 26th wedding (around 12 noon), and our colors are pink/white/silver. I'm open to any and all suggestions! :) Should I use an aisle runner? Flowers on the chairs? We're having a very small wedding (about 30-50) people. Here's a picture of the venue. :) TIA!

Re: DECORATION HELP!

  • Don't do anything that might run if it gets wet (crepe paper for example). In April, with the chance of rain, you'll run into problems. An aisle runner is probably a good idea, in case of mud. Flowers on chairs look really nice, the other thing I've seen that I really like is like this:

My friend did one like that, but not on every aisle, just at the beginning, it was very pretty.

  • Oh what a pretty location!  I agree with PP...I love shepherd hooks with pomanders.  Also, lining the aisle with rose petals in your colors would be a nice touch.

  • I like the rose petal idea! :) I like the other idea as well, but the ground/floor is cement. Is there another option other than the hooks? I thought about putting them on the chairs, but I don't want to worry about people knocking them off. Is that something I should be worried about? I am going to have a few little ones (younger than 5) at the wedding..
  • Wait, so will you be setting up chairs IN the gazebo then? Or is there significantly less grass now than there was when the picture was taken? You can totally set up flowers on chairs, you can find little hook or basket thingies or tie them with bows. If flowers don't work the way you want either, you can do a lot with tuile and ribbon as decorations. If you secure them and they aren't out of control big, no one will knock them off. If kids are likely to do it with the chairs, they're likely to do it with the hooks as well. You don't have to kid proof your wedding, their parents have to do the parent thing.
