Honeymoon question - Liberty travel vs. beachdestinations.com

I also posted this on the honeymoon board, but you gals are so good about everythign else....

I'm wondering if anyone has any opinions on using Liberty Travel vs Beachdestinations.com (an online travel agency). I can get the same deal on the hotels/flights through both, but just want to see if anyone's had good or bad experiences with either company or just have some general suggestions on choosing a travel agency?

I have had nothing but issues with Liberty Travel. It may just be the one in my area though, Wethersfield.  I actually switched mid way through and cancelled what I had booked with them, because I couldn't get anything done. They wouldn't return phone calls or emails. Eventually I went in to get everything figured out and since the original agent wasn't there I was told no one could help me because they are on commission.

I am biased, but I recommend using a travel agent *person* as opposed to company / website.  There are still independent agents out there who can work with you to get you what you want.  There is no such thing as an exclusive travel deal, either - if one agent has a certain price - they all have the same price.  Using an agent who you know will be there to answer your call if (God forbid) your connecting flight gets cancelled stranding you overnight somewhere, hurricane hits, etc.... is the most important service a travel agent will provide.  Anyone can go online and book a deal... it is the service and advocacy that you pay an agent for!
