Any experiences with the following photographers??? Giovanni Photographic Artist, Catherine Leonard

Hey guys,

Have any of you used the following photographers?  I was wondering how your experience was, how the photos turned out, how the prices were (specifics are good if you are comfortable sharing)

    I had an experience with Ulysses and it wasn't good.  I loved his work on his website but he was way out of my price range.  My wedding planner redid my budget so I could afford his lowest package.  When we met we all really liked him but his wife seemed a little phony.  Ok, no big deal.  So he shoes me his albums and the first two I see are amazing work!  I specifically ask if I have a choice of any albums for whatever package and they tell me yes.  I fall in love and can't wait to sign.  They show me their third album and it is a joke.  They tell me this is a more simple album for very small wedding like with just a few people.  The album looks like a scrap book album.  It only has maybe 10-15 photos in it and I can't imagine why anyone would want this album.  They then proceed to go over their packages with us and then tell me that their lowest price package, $4,800 only includes the tiny, crappy album.  My heart breaks and we ask them if we eliminate all of the extra albums and other extras that come with the next higher up package, $5,800, would they consider giving me the better album at a lower price.  They say no and refuse to negotiate what so ever.  So basically, I wasted an hour and a half of my time and had my heart broken for nothing.  If they had told me from the beginning that I could only get the tiny album for $4,800 to begin with I would stopped there and thanked them and left.  They totally mislead me.  Kind of reminds me of a bait and switch.  What I really don't understand is that I tried to negotiate and was willing to forgo allot of what was offered in the more expensive package but they just would not budge.  My advice is if you can afford to pay $5,800 plus for you photographer go ahead and hire them because he is very talented.  But if that is out of your budget, just forget about it.

    I am using regency for my wedding in October.... I have been working with Margaret and she has got to be the most sweetest lady I have ever met! Our engagement pics were amazing and there prices aren't bad for what you get.

    Yeah.... we still haven't chosen photo. I love ulysses but they are REALLY expensive.

    Hey guys, met with Regency and a little confused.
    Regency said they do not proved a disc of the images, only a box of actual pictures even though they want to charge 6000 for video, photos, and book.  Doesn't this seem odd- shouldn't I have access and rights to all the images, especially for a price like that?

    The photographer was extremely important to us, so we went with Ulysses.  Jenni and him were fabulous.  We had an incredible engagement photo session, which was fun and intimate.  It really helped us for our wedding day.  Our wedding went smoothly with them and they were never in the way.  Everyone at the wedding raved about them.  We have beautiful photographs, and canvas'.  They are a little pricy but in our opinion so worth it!

    With Ulysses Photgraphy. They are wonderful. Very professional and responsive. Take amazing photgraphs. You get what you pay for and they are well worth it.
