Wedding Venues – Flathead Lake Help!

Hi Ladies- I am looking to get married *fingers crossed* over looking Flathead Lake next summer in an outdoor ceremony.  I live out of state, although I've spent every summer since I can remember at my grandparents house on the Lake, so the area holds a very special place in my heart. I've asked my Family, who live there, to search for wedding venues for me and my Fiancé to view when we come up in September.  But as I have recently discovered The Knot and this message board, I thought I would reach out to all of you and see if anyone knows of any venues or sites that house private residences for rent that I could look at.  We are looking to have a smaller wedding since we will have people traveling from out of state, so somewhere in the 50 to 75 range.  Maybe something along the West shore of the lake? Any suggestions will be appreciated, since Google hasn’t provided many results!

Hi I am also on the hunt for a Flathead venue for next summer and understand your pain! A couple that I have recently looked at are Flathead Lake Lodge in Bigfork and the Glacier Presbyterian Camp. Happy hunting!

We are getting married in Big Fork next july and found that Brumar Estate was perfect if you wanted to look into that
  • My daughter lives in the Flathead valley & wants to get married on Flathead Lake w/ reception, approx 100 people.  Anyone have a location or suggestions for this?  I ahve a house in Maui & two vacation rentals w/ a car, anyone interested in a trade. We are very respectful & would take good care of your place.  Also, interested in trades for photo, music, etc.  She is just starting the planning phases & looking at August 2013.

I posted earlier, but I will go ahead and post this list, as I have several emails asking, I am a photographer in Polson, MT right on Flathead lake, and shoot many weddigs every year at different locations. I hope this all helps

I will go ahead and start the list, I do have many different photos of the locations, if you have a facebook it might be easier to look at locations there as albums are labeled nicely, I will also include as many websites as I can!

1; Many Springs, right on the lake, suited for smaller weddings, 100 guests or under, a little out of the way, but its right on the lake, and they have a fantastic restaurant there.  http://www.manysprings.com/   (Tyler and Nicole)

    2. Swan Hill B&B, this is a great little location, the main ceremony site would not be next to the water, but they do have a private dock and area to do photos down by the water, although for my wedding I did there, the bride and groom didn't want to go there. guest up to 100  http://www.swanhillbedandbreakfast.com/

    3. Swan RIver Inn,  this is a gorgeous location, I have shot several weddings here, the ceremony can either take place in a ball room, or on a roof top garden, its right on the river in Bigfork, and has a gorgeous dock, and scenery. the guest could probably be 200.  http://www.swanriverinn.com/

    4. The Barn at Finley Point, this in my favorite location to shoot, I have done several weddings here, and helped them establish themselves as a wedding venue, or so I like to think, ;) Beautiful ponds, a gorgeous barn, waterfalls, a gazebo, this place has it all, 200+ guests.
http://www.barnatfinleypoint.com/  ( Jonathan and Brittany) or ( Cici and Steven)

    5. The Sky Ridge Ranch, I just shot the very first wedding out here at this location, its gorgeous, nestled right into the base of the mission mountains, just outside of ronan. Although it is not right on the lake, they have a beautiful pond, with islands, a beautiful barn, and streams that run around the property, easily 200 guest,  http://www.mymontanawedding.com/ceremonies/item/41-sky-ridge-ranch.html   I can't find their website, it may not be up yet, as they are waiting on pictures from me, but I do have an album on my facebook page of pictures I just finished.  (Leslie and Elliott)

6 The Kwatuqnuk resort, Best Western Hotel, This is the only hotel venue we have in town, but it is right on the bay in Polson, they have banquet and ball rooms inside, as well as a tent outside, and also a cruise ship that they hold ceremonies and receptions on as well, although I haven't done the cruise yet, I have two weddings this year on it. The hotel is a great location, 200+ guests http://www.kwataqnuk.com/

    7. The GLacier Presbyterian Camp, I have never shot at this location, so I can't tell you much about it, though it seems to be a fairly popular place if you have the budget, I believe its around $6,000 to rent.  http://www.glaciercamp.org/

    8. Mission Mountain Resort, I have shot at this location several times, I believe they are only taking weddings of 100 or less, but its a cute little lodge, very rustic, set right next to the mountains just outside of polson, their wedding ceremony locations include two meadows, one lower, the other a bit of a hike, but the view is worth it! the owners can be difficult to work with, but its still a nice location, there is a stream/canal that runs through the property with a little bridge.

If you would like to view pictures you can see them on my facebook page at www.facebook.com/EdenBryant/Photography  or some at my site www.edenbryantphotography.com I added some names after the locations to connect you with albums, I will also try to add some of the location names to the albums on my pages. Thanks, and I hope this all helps, let me know if there is anything else I can do!
