Unique ceremony exit

We are trying to find a unique and/or romantic way to exit the church after the ceremony.  Any ideas?

Re: Unique ceremony exit

  • To be honest, I don't see any need for anything other than just walking out together arm-in-arm.  That seems romantic enough for me-and probably most other people as well.

As for "unique," the only thing that comes to mind is blasting your way through the roof a la the Weasleys in the fifth Harry Potter, and I don't think that's going to get you positive attention.

Maybe they can pre-arrange to have a window open?

  • Real answers please!  :-)
  • I'm not even sure what you're asking.   What are your options other than walking out together?  Maybe skateboard.

  • No one gives a crap about rice and bubbles.  Just walk out like normal people.

I'm not sure what you would define as unique.  Pick your favorite song, the song you danced your first dance to.  And walk out to that.  If you do anything overly "unique", you will look campy and cheesy, not romantic and unique.
  • Let go of the idea of 'unique' (pretty much nothing is) just do what you like, and the rest will follow.

I'm sorry.  I don't mean to be offensive.

It just seems to me that walking out together is about the only way to exit, and it seems both romantic and dignified to me.  I don't think there really are any other "real" ways to exit.

So I think I'd let go of "unique."

You and your fiance could pick a song that you both love and has meaning to you, choreograph a little dance to it, and do it down the aisle.

I've only seen that done by the bridal party as they go down the aisle before the ceremony, but it could work for you.

  • You can dance your way out of the church. See the youtube video below for inspiration :)

  • Not sure if you're aware but I was able to find your blog and cake baking website with a simple google search since you used your real name, (unless of course you are not the cake baking, blogging oldest child of the Schnarr family in which case I apologize).

Just be careful what wedding information you put out there since people do like to troll and cause problems.

    Good luck with your wedding.

</div><div>Isn't that inappropriate (if not disrespectful) for a church? OP, if you're getting married in a church check with the priest if they will even allow something like this.

  • Talk to your already-married friends.
They will tell you that the ceremony will be so completely emotional and so intensely focused that you will be grateful to just finish it, kiss, turn to get your flowers from your MOH, and then walk down the aisle.  You really will be impacted by the ceremony.  It will hit you hard.  Harder than you can imagine.  You might not be crying, but you will be stunned by the magnitude and importance of what you are doing, and you will feel awed and changed by it.  And you will walk tall and proud and full of awe and wonder as you walk out of the church.
  • Piggy-back ride! Or drag him behind you...
