Lehigh Valley, PA - wedding on a budget

I am recently engaged (less than a week!) and we are in the very beginning stages.  Can anyone recommend any receptions sites in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, PA area that would work for a tight budget?  We are looking to have about 120-150 guests with a strict total budget of $5000 (dress and attire not included).  I'd prefer indoor locations and not fire halls, but I realize I cannot be too picky.  Thanks for any help you can throw my way!

You'll get much better answers posting this question on your local board (click local boards on the left bar to find them) as this one is international.

So what is included in the $5k?  flowers, photog, etc?

First thing I'm going to say is can you cut the guest list at all?

Next are you willing to do off season?

I would make a list of things that are most important to you and your FI.  For example my FI and I really wanted a formal elegant sit down dinner, open bar on a Sat.  We do not care about our transport all that much though.  If we have money at the end we will get something nicer other wise we feel like it doesn't really matter.  Other people would balk at that but have not as good food or not as good photog.  What you guys want matters here not what other people did. Be honest with each other and then tell other people (your moms for example) you already had your wedding.

For your dress please check out both Sabrina Ann http://www.sabrinaann.com/
If you find a dress that is good but not quite right talk to Nilah http://www.myplanet.net/sbccpa/index.html  See my post below to see what she did to my dress I bought at a sample sale for a steal.

The Northeastern PA board does not get much action. I live in the Lehigh Valley but I'm getting married in Lower Bucks, so I am usually on here.

To answer your question, I would also try to cut down on your guest list if you can. Also, look into off-season or Fridays/Earlier on Saturday/Sunday. The only reception site that comes to mind is Bethlehem Masonic Temple. It's right off of 378, next to the Sayre Mansion. My friend was married there and it is clear that it is on the cheaper end but it's still nice and everything is included.

What about looking at the colleges?  There are A TON of colleges up in that area, and I know they do have weddings there.  Muhlenburg College, Lehigh University, Moravian College, DeSales University, Cedar Crest (not sure if they do events since it's very small), Bloomsburg University...

The only one that I know for certain that does weddings is DeSales University, because I've been to a few.
Paprika: I like it when you burp in my ear. It really turns me on.
