I have a serious case of the Mondays today. I'm fighting off a cold, the weather is rainy, foggy, and just overall nasty this morning, and traffic sucked on my way to work. Oh, and I have a test I'm completely unprepared for today. Yay Monday. How are y'all this morning? Did everybody have a good weekend?

I hear ya! I stayed up late this weekend because FI bought XBox last week so he's been hooked into Skryim non-stop, and I got a new laptop on Thursday so I've been happily designing away next to him while he plays. Whoops, what do you mean it's midnight already!? Yeah, that was every night this weekend! So I'm exhausted today.

Cal, I totally know what you mean. I had way too much fun this weekend, and it all caught up to me this morning. Yay for a new laptop though! I bet you're thoroughly enjoying it, and from what I've seen on here, your designs are pretty awesome. :-)

Thanks! Yeah, I love it. It's like playtime for me, haha! I've got to set up an Etsy shop eventually - making money doing fun stuff? Yes please!

I did spend a bit of time finishing up my save-the-dates, too, so hopefully those will go out this week!

It's gonna be raining all day here

and I'm really tired and frustrated. The dog wouldn't stop howling last night and I got an email yesterday about my financial aid. Apparently I have to let them know if I've ever committed a felony....wth? You tell me this now right before my tuition is due!? WHY?? The self-service system tried to tell me that that form was available back in October...like heck it was! I kept checking to see if my requirements were met for my disbursment to go through and I just got the email yesterday. Gotta get in touch with the school today to get things worked out....gggrrrrr. It's not that big a deal, just frustrating that this obstacle came up so close to the deadline.

Good morning. I am so not used to being here on Monday. After 2 weeks of Monday’s off, this seems a little bit weird. My weekend was full of wedding stuff, on Saturday the BMs and I got their dresses, and on Sunday my best friend and I went to the bridal show… even though I had most of my vendors, it was nice to look at all the prettiness...She is also getting married, so we are in each other’s weddings, and they are 2 weeks away!

I have been really missing FI lately, which is a little weird for me. It doesn’t normally bother me at all that he is gone… I think I need to hang out with my single friends,..

It's the first day of the new semester for me!! and I'm so excited!!! Also, the BIG game is tonight!! Fingers Crossed for the Tide!! And that it's not a repeat of the last game.

Tomorrow we're having a work thing, which in theory I'm excited about but then again... we're going out to eat, and then going to see Gone with the Wind at this big gorgeous Theater (Clicky) but I mean it starts and 7 and if you've ever seen it, you know that it is one long ass movie!! So that's tomorrow.. it's just really late and I'm a total homebody..

Amanda- sounds like you had a busy and fun weekend!
Sami- yay for first day of new classes! And I knew you would be excited for the big game.. I don't have an attachment to either team, but I'm definitely excited for it! I just hope it's more exciting than the last one... I hate defensive games, they're just boring!!!
You make me laugh with your homebody-ness. And is it sad that I've never seen that movie? Everybody always seems so shocked when I say that. I hope you have fun though!

Morning everyone! I had greatvweekened, mainly because we got our pup yesterday!!! I just did an AW thread. He's sleeping on my lap right now. It's raining here too which I hate since I can'∞t take him out for a walk and it makes me not want to go do my errands.

I'm babysitting for my cousin for the next 2 months. Its been 3 hours and I already never want kids. I have to do my PFT tomorrow so we will have to get our grandmother to watch him in the morning. I'm so nervous about my PFT that I could probably pee my pants. ETA: I changed my mind about kids not that I have the little guy napping while I rock him in the big comfy arm chair lol. I'm terrible.

We just got a call from our old neighbor...the town that I used to live in is flooding BAD. The water is getting into people's houses already and its only 10AM. It's supposed to be like this until late tonight. I love that the rain's gonna help with these drought conditions but I can't believe that the city was so unprepared. Now I'm just waiting on my dad to get home from the Houston area safely. Fingers crossed. There's been tornados touching down and hail...EEK.

We had the mover come for the assessment today, it really only took about 5 minutes, so now we just need to sort our stuff into more piles so that it can be packed relatively easily. I love how it says on the paper we got that if they come to a house in "disarray" that it may prevent a move. What else is a house that you're moving from but can't put anything in boxes? Hah.

So I'll be in and out for the next week or so, I am going to my grandmother's and leaving FI with a list of properties to look at, and hopefully I'll be in SA by the 20th or so. I'm super-excited about getting a new apartment. It looks like the base is close to several really nice neighborhoods. We're really looking at safety now that FI will be gone for close to 4 months pretty quickly after I get out there. That'll be weird, though, I don't think I've ever lived completely alone for that long (always had roommates).

The weekend was overall pretty quiet. Which is always nice for me. I can be such a homebody. I did a ton of cleaning and a little bit of wedding things. This week will be packed with wedding to-do's.

I really need to get into the gym tonight or this afternoon, with my sunburt self. I started tanning last week, and went a bit too long on Saturday. So.. I'm a pretty bright red colored today. Hopefully it goes away soon. Normally I get burnt the second time (which was Saturday) and then it clears up and I don't burn again. I'm pretty careful with it, and use SPF sun lotion. But we'll see. This isn't very comfortable.

Hey ladies

amh- you remind me, I need to find a place to do tanning that will not make me crazy with my schedule!!

My weekend was ok. Saturday I didn't feel like I got much accomplished. Still looking for a good HM deal to book- spent a lot of time exploring different options for that, then I worked Sat night until 3a.

Sunday I had my first fitting!!! woot! My ceremony shoes are about an inch/ inch and 1/4 taller than my reception shoes, so my dress is being hemmed to my reception shoes. I'm kinda excited about it, actually, because my shoes are these adorable zebra print platforms (if I don't change my mind, lol) and they'll kind of "peek" out from under my dress when I walk down the aisle

The fitting took about 2 hours- my dress needs a lot of taking in.

Last night it was back to more studying for me.

Today I spent the morning trying to get in touch with my dr office (what a nightmare!) - I need some bloodwork done. One of my great aunts has been diagnosed with Von Willebrand's, and my grandfather was tested and he's a carrier, so they told all the females in the family that we need to be tested. Plus I need to do my annual physical complete with "well woman exam"... lovely.

I went and did my workout before lunch. How are you ladies doing that had New Year's resolutions? What ever happened to making up a thread to state goals, then having a weekly check in thread, anyway? I think it was Sami's idea??? Good idea

I have worked out the past 5 days in a row- go me!!! I'm feeling way better about myself in general just because I have some consistency back in my workouts. I do these rotating 4 week programs in addition to the stuff on bodyrock as my interval/cardio or my off day "active recovery" workouts usually- so I'm used to doing 5 days/week but got away from it over the holidays.

I just realized today that I have time to do a 2 week intermediate workout program (to get back into the 5 day routines) and then 4 of my 4 week programs and that takes me right to my wedding day!!! CRAZY!!!

I'm at work til 5, so I'll be studying, but I'll be in and out

Happy Monday ladies! I had such a great weekend and work is a little slow right now so I'm getting caught up on TK.

It's my short day today so I got to sleep in a bit later and the day is going by so quickly! After work it's laundry time and watching 2 netflix movies that I need to watch asap and send back.
