I just passed my two PhD exams with top grades in both!! So totally excited about that.

Also printed out the monogram so am now going to finish the invites! FINALLY. Gonna stat handing out some today already

YEY for getting things done.
Tomorrow I am going to look at wedding dresses again. Then on Thursday or Friday I will look for dresses with my mom. Excited about that.
On Thursday I am moving to Norway actually... Strange. Havent started packing yet and it is a huge move so the next couple of days are going to be hectic!

I picked up my dress yesterday so when I'm not working I'll probably be sneaking peaks and just gazing at the beauty of that dress. ;-) That's why I need to take it to a friend's house so I won't be tempted to wear it around the house like in that episode of Friends.

This is my last week of work. After Friday I will have 11 days off in a row from both of my jobs and I'm looking forward to every second of it. I need a break, BADLY. But for this week I need to kick butt and get as much work done as possible prior to vacation ... while also sneaking in time to online shop today for last minute gifts. ;-)

Breathe.

This is my last week of work until 2013 as well, and I can't wait to be out of here!! I am burning through everything that hits my desk because I refuse to be rushed and out of sorts on Friday.

Not a lot going on this week, mostly just finalizing the look of our reception room and ordering those supplies to get started on the DIY portions. That said, I have more than enough DIY to keep me busy during vacation, even without the new stuff!

WR: Addressing more Save the Dates. Last week was so crazy I didn't get as many done as I wanted.

NWR: Last minute shopping and wrapping. Plus some baking. And I have to go back to the car dealership this week. So much to do so little time!

Siri: Congrats on your test scores!!
Goofy and Tay: Have a wonderfully relaxing fun break from work!

WR: This weekend we got a ton of stuff done. Met with the florist and got a quote on the bouts and flowers and designed the 7 centerpieces she is making. We also bought all of the stuff for the 1/2 of the centerpieces I am making and all of the decor for the venue!! All I have to do is assemble everything when we are closer to the wedding.
I NEED to start looking for a JP. I am totally dragging my feet on this one.

NWR: workworkwork, wrap gifts and finish decorating!

NWR: I am going out of town today to go to FI Christmas party. Coming home tomorrow to be at work at 5pm. Then Wednesday hopefully I will finally finish my Christmas shopping !! WR: last week I got estimates for what the whole shabang from the hotel... Which included the taxes and service charges because how they calculate all that confuses the crap out of me. Room holds 150, guest list has 170 BUT I do not have addresses for probably 2025 people yet. My dad's side of the family or a chunk of FI side of the family have been fairly unresponsive to address requests so honestly if the don't sent me anything with addresses they just won't get invited :. Because SOOO many people are out of town I am not expecting some of them to come at all and due to some health issues that have come up with several family members some that for sure would have come may not be coming now. Because the budget estimates were done for the max people and still came in as less than I thought it would be I am actually in pretty good shape. So hoping to go ahead and get my DJ booked right after the new year once I can sit down with them. I also want them to be my videographer but need to 'haggle' a little. Some of the things in all their packages I do not need at all... So need to see of I can get them down a little in price. I also got figures for my week in the mountains honeymoon and right after Christmas I am doing the deposit. Super excited about that too because they are actually giving us a great rate for the week. Oct 1 the rate goes up and since we will only be there 1 September night I thought for sure I would be paying the October weekly rate which would have been higher by several hundred dollars. But they are actually doing the weekly rate for September so will save me a ton !

You NEED to start looking for a JP soon... I know around here finding one you like is hard and they start booking about a year out. The closer you get the more the price goes up

My brother in law is doing our ceremony .. Getting his online certificate because I do not want a stranger marrying us

WR: We picked out the tuxes for the groomsmen this weekend and I also got the flower girl dresses....for $16.99 a piece!!!

NWR: I only have to work through Thursday this week and then I am off until next Thursday. Friday my mom and I are going to bake cookies all day and get the food shopping done for my and my FI annual Christmas Eve Open House.

I love this time of year

NWR - Finishing up my final Christmas shopping. Seems all the men in my life are making this harder than usual. Why are men so hard to buy for?

WR - We're going to talk to two DJ's this week, The first one is tonight and I think he's really good but has a pricetag to prove it. The other is a smaller DJ that was reccomended to us, for half the price of the other guy. I'm hoping things go well with him. I'd rather not blow the music budget just for a DJ!

I LOVE that episode of Friends!

I'm super excited to only have one more week of work AS WELL! I'm so ready for a break :) We fly across the country to spend Christmas with FI's family, then come back here and take a quick trip to see my family, about a five hour drive! I'm happy to be done with shopping and everything, just have to get packed!!

I think I'm taking a break from wedding planning for the rest of the month! Not like I've done much actual planning anyway... but I still need to get a few addresses for our Christmas cards, which will be a few more off the wedding invite list of addresses I have yet to collect!

I unfortunately do not have much time off work (only Christmas Eve and Christmas Day), but my FI gets off until the end of the year starting Friday so he promised me that is when he will start working out and eating healthy, which I am hoping will motivate me as well! One of us needs to start! haha I just started shopping yesterday for Christmas gifts and only have one more to get! Of course, I picked out this train for my 5 month old nephew that has been sold out of every store I went to! I told my FI if he didn't go to the store with me yesterday, then I wasn't going to help him pick out gifts this year since I know he will wait until the 23rd so hopefully I can stay stubborn because I do not want to go back to any of these busy stores!

So my goals this week are to work out, wrap presents, and avoid any more Christmas shopping!!!

My favorite store in the entire world....MARSHALL'S :) Here is a picture of them...

They are navy, the top is tafetta like and the bottom is tulle and netting. The back has two rhinestone buttons and a nice tafetta bow :)

Well, things are winding down for me, pre-holidays. I really need to pick a DJ soon, though! That one is taking me forever. I also need to finalize my wedding party. Am I the only one who hasn't finished that yet?

I'm so angry with myself for promising so many free illustration work to friends and family. I still haven't had time to design save the dates and winter suddenly crept up on me. Is it too late now?

<div>No way, I haven't sent out our save the dates either -- I'm still waiting for my damn photographer to send me the photo for it. TK says between 6-8 months is when they should go out.</div>
