Another invite wording question (divorced parents)

My parents are divorced... so should it read...

In the celebration of love....
Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
and Mr. Bob Smith and Mrs. Karen Jones
invite you to share....

Is that too complicated?

Both mine and my FI's parents are divorced, plus we're paying for the wedding without their help, so we're just leaving them off of the invitation. There is a way to word it without including parents, but my invites are far off, so I haven't really looked into it.

The simpliest thing to do would be to say "Bride & Groom, along with their parents..."   But if you want to include everyone's names, here are some suggestions.  Just google it and you'll find more ideas.

    You can also do:

Mr. Bob Smith and Mrs. Karen Jones
    invite you to share...

    to
    Groom
son of Mr. and Mrs. John Doe

Either way, list the bride's parents first.

Also, in your example, I wouldn't use "and" as the first word on a line. I'd do something like

Mr. Bob Smith and Mrs. Karen Jones
together with Mr. and Mrs. John Doe

    Or

    Bride and Groom
    together with their parents
Mr. Bob Smith and Mrs. Karen Jones
    Mr. and Mrs. John Doe
    invite you

If you're paying for most of it, or they are paying equal parts, I'd just say "together with their families so & so and blah blah invite you..."

Ditto PP, together with their parents works just fine.
